Installed the remote starter kit (0000-8F-L82) in my '13 GT over the weekend. What a chore! It really wasn't all that difficult, but you have to basically take the entire front upper and lower dash apart. I mean nearly everything! Center console, glovebox, everything. The included instructions...

Does the Mazda5 (particularly 2013+) share a common mirror with the 3 or 6? Hoping to use the glass from a 3 or 6 that has integrated blindspot warning indicators and connect the indicator leads to an aftermarket avoidance system.

Just to be certain, that kit (part 0000-8F-L82) was the only purchase required? It mentions that the hood switch is not needed on my GT model. I was able to find the kit crazy cheap ($90) and will be installing next week!

Did you use Mazda part 0000-8F-L82? Was anything else required for the install? I see a lot of dealers also listing an install kit, but no clue what's included in that or what is needed from it.

And it's finished! I ended up going with the PAC controller. As near plug and play as they come. Hardest part was running the video cable. Made sure to place it as center as possible to avoid any possible issue with the side curtain air bags. Also, removing the A-pillar was a bit tricky. It...
