They do have classes where you can learn the basics of baking and pastries. I really found alot of school to be a waste. its actually better to just learn the basics and then go into the feild. It was a blast though. i hate the $25K student load i had to take out. better then nothing.

I would do what I went to school for and be a chef. eventually to own my own place. I cant afford to make the jump from a decent paying IT job to a $10 an hour no benefits ass busting career
