Wow. Then no, I have no idea! Always fun to see custom work though... I am wracking my brain trying to think what you would eliminate the spare tire for if not for a car audio/entertainment system.
No chance this is for an automatic lift for a handicap power chair, is there? Hell- I don't have...
Anxiously awaiting an update on this. What is that?? Only thing I can think of is a "submerged" tray to hold a sub box in place, and an elevated amp rack. Am I close? (shrug)
I use Royal Purple. Even though I do change my oil approx every 3-4K, I find that the Royal Purple doesn't appear to have broken down as much as other synthetics i've used.
...Which beckons the question- what other synthetics have I used? Well to that- I simply don't remember. I try to run RP...
I hear you on that... I used a 12" blade which gave me pretty good access, and allow some flex to get the right angle. Takes some time to cut through the stud, but it will go...
I ran the blade flush against the swaybar, but of course that didn't cut EXACTLY flush. Because of this, you will...
No, I am talking about the endlink- which is a ball joint at both ends. With a pry bar, you can pop the joint apart which makes access with a sawzall much easier.
I did it this weekend.
This is how I got them off:
1) Popped the ball out of the socket, removed the endlink itself
2) Used a sawzall to cut the ball end off, using the swaybar as a guide
3) Used an angle grinder to take of the last little bit, leaving just the bolt going through the bar
4)...
You just paste it:

Nice build thread! And I like the frame you made as well... Very nice install!
I started putting a sub in my center console. The roof is certainly a unique place... The woofer magnet must be sitting on the backside of the box being that low of profile. What is the volume of the box? I've also never considered the big flat panel that is the roof to be overly structural. do...
Sway bar bracket mystery revealed
Some seriously big pictures here- deal with it. (bird)
EDIT- pictures resized.
P5 stock bracket on left, MP3/MSP on right (with AWR urethane bushing)
The P5 bushing is clearly smaller- I think it is 17mm, and I know the MSP is 20mm:
Not only is the bracket...
You need the bracket from a MP3/MSP. In the first attached pic, you can see that the stock P5 bracket will not fit over the 20mm AWR bushing. In the second pic, you can see that the MP3/MSP bracket fits over it fine. (Note the second pic is of a DIY clunk fix mount- it is not stock).
I can get...
Try again. The pic was taken from the thread I linked to... You must have missed it.
1st picture of post 4.

edit-
You mean- that the spring wasn't referenced as part of the how to? lol... I get it now.
