Yeah, so this happened.
We got home today and the power lift gate just stopped working. We also could not close the door manually, nothing was budging. So that sucked.
As you can hopefully see on this video, I was only able to push the gate down a few inches before there was massive...
Well that's a lot of options..
Here is what I have, this is my other key:
2010, power liftgate, I think it's the touring model? It's been a while so I dont remember if its touring or grand touring. Also it has the little black button on the outside door handle.
Something like this?

What if I still have the original key? I lost the clicker bit but for some reason still have the key from inside it. Not sure why I ever would have separated the two but maybe the battery died or something years ago and I needed to start the car so I took it out, used it, forgot to put them...
Any idea how much it would cost to get reprogrammed? I see a few on eBay, still around $150, so thats a bunch, but cheaper than getting a new one I suppose.
Is that the going rate for used smart keys?
One of the two has been lost for years and I have always wanted to get a second but the cost is just too much to justify. Wondering if now, almost ten years later from getting the SUV, if there is a way I can get a second key for a reasonable price.
We still have the key from the second...
Well of the the advice worked, thanks.
Why does this need to be done in the first place? Seems pretty random a feature like auto windows, which are listed right on the buttons themselves, would stop working and need a reset procedure like this after a battery change.
I have no idea where to even begin with this one..
The battery on the 2010 Touring died so I took it out, got a new one from the store, and replaced it. Car worked fine and can power through the frigid winter temperatures. Except now the auto function on the front two windows doesnt work, the...
I dont care about presets or anything like that, what I am concerned with is how some of the newer cars, and even older Hondas, have special security codes that need to be entered after a battery swap, if you don't know the code none of the electronics in the console will work. The car will...
Some cars when you pull the battery you need to reset all sorts of security things and go through initialization and codes and nonsense.
In a 2010 CX 9 can I just go over to Napa, get a new battery, and replace it myself?
After a few years of glue and epoxy it finally crumbled more and it's straight up busted. There is no fixing it this time so now we just have a big empty spot.
Back when I first looked into this the replacement part didn't exist, it was a huge $200+ piece that included lights and buttons and...
Does anyone have these? I have been searching around and I am getting figures from 20 to 80 on some of the bolts. One post here has figures but no idea where they came from.
I am going to ve doing the brakes and the rotors so accurate torque specifications for the caliper and the caliper...
51k, so right in line with what everyone else has been experiencing. Smell in the passenger compartment, a whining noise that sounded like a small toy battery powered engine coming from the upper section of the engine where I took the picture, and not really based on speed, RPMs or anything...
Not sure when it started but it was very noticeable this weekend.
2010 AWD Touring.
Up there at the top of the picture, to be as technical as I can, the grey bit that is connected to the three things that go under the plastic shield. It's not based completely on speed because if I sit in...
