You will still break the stuff. If it hits and binds, it'll break.. Look at my pics. That is how you install them. This stuff is trial and error. Install, turn the steering and look for contact. Adjust, repeat, etc....
I like the hawk hps for all aorund driving and autocross. Little dusty, but work great.
I also like valvoline supersyn brake fluid, works good and not expensive
When the isn't any preload on it.
I install one endlink and adjusted it to the correct length. Then go to the other side, install that one and adjust it to where the bar is in between going up or down.

Hmm, not quite what I delt with. The length was perfect, the collar/spacers that were on the strut side did not space the hiem out far enough to clear the strut mount tab at steering lock (or less than lock)
I'll try and dig out my old ass pics...might be tough since it was from 4 yrs ago.
Kinda a moot point for me. I sold off a few of the mods and don't bother modding the P5 anymore. I have a 300hp country squire autox car and a 190E benz that I'm currently bulding for autox/track duty.

you've got the wrong spacers. Back when the illuminas were released in 04 a lot of people were having the same issues. Unfortunately I don't have any pics of them at work or online.
I believe the fix was Miata spacer/collars. I'd contact AWR and ask about it.
