No it won't be available that soon. The Solstice GXP will be available around the fall and the Redline will probably follow a year from now. The engine is actually a 2.0L as someone else said.

Power is delivered through a equal length half-shafts, equipped with a limited slip differential for uniform side-to-side power transfer.
Notice it doesn't say anything about front to rear power transfer.
The Solstice can be ordered as a base model or with the Z0K "Club Sport" package. (Springs, shocks, swaybars, crank windows, no A/C - $1200) The Solstice can be ordered as a base car for $20k, but since there is high demand for it you'll likely find only highly optioned models on a lot.

Uhhh, the Z06 handles extremely well. It lapped Nurumburgring in 7:40. That puts it only a few seconds behind a Carrera GT. Stock C6 Vette lapped in 8:15.
