Thanks tlott01 for that tip will keep it in mind when I get around to bleeding if I ever get the screws sorted out,I tried bleeding them but they still felt soft and had to pump them to stop car so maybe your tip will do the trick. Thanks Natay I will look at the video
So in plane language if I have my 2 brake lines disconnected I should bleed the right side and then the left caliper next ,it doesnt say if the car should be started or if the key should be in the on or accessory position
well i used an extractor but it broke off when I heated the caliper with it in there, had to drill it out ,now I have a hole ,was thinking to thread it then plug and try to bleed from the bolt where the lines attaches to caliper. I will get a new extractor for the other one, hope for the best...
this is the story, I removed the rear calipers and sanded painted and reinstalled but when I tried to bleed them the bleeder screws broke off because of being rusty (toetap) any ideas besides getting new ones Thks Alex
its not a hard job if they are not rusted out ,you will need an allen key to hold the part from spinning while you take of the nut at ends off with a 10 or 12 mm wrench ,if rusted you will need to cut them to bits and grip them with a vise grip to stop them from spinning but its really not hard...
thanks for reply, sorry made a mistake about belts it the alternator and water pump belts ,not the timing belt that I need to adjust
Hi Paul, had to rebuild the 2 front fenders and the 2 rear wheel arches because of rust not perfect yet but trying my best
HAVE A MERRY CHRISTMAS ALL & GOD BLESS
Im not sure MrGiggle I bought it new at dealer and gave it to him to install, the one I removed looks new How can I tell if its not the original one, it was never changed before, also is there supposed to be a gasket on the housing for the thermostat.
thanks Paul I found it, my other problem is that I took my car to a mechanic and gave him a thermostat valve to replace but I suspect he didn't change it so how can I tell if it has been replaced.I have the therm stat housing off and have the stat in my hand
