Alright, ill look into some rotors then.
Also, its been super hot lately in Oregon. 93-102 and my rpm sometime dips to 500 and the car shakes a bunch. Then it fixes it self. Heat related?
So, i replaced my brake pads on Mr.1827
Drove it around for a few days.
Looked at my rotors and noticed that only half of the rotor was wore down ( inner ) as the other half was turning yellow orange ( outter )
Rechecked the bolts, good
Rechecked the M spring, good
Rechecked the rubber where...
Update: Cleaned out the egr. Helped alittle bit. Not worth the 1 hour trying to pull the b@$!# out.
Car still has the boost gauge connected. Its reading a vac of -12. Is that correct for a N/A car?
Cars also got a CEL. Havent gotten time to run to autozone to get it pulled.
Any thoughts on...
Update: Went and got a MT Ecu from a 2.0 protege.
Took a few cranks after resetting the ecu for it to fix itself. But it has a terrible idle issue. Which would cause it to jump to 100rpm, turn on the dash lights real quick, then fix itself.
Gonna clean out the egr and see how that goes...
Welp, its got a msp ecu on it.
Stamped Mjj8 MSP0-18881. Time to find a stock ecu.
Would a automatic ecu work? I know for hondas it doesnt. Dont know if its the same for mazdas.
Update: so egr is connected. But the car will only die when its warm operating temperature.
Could it be the ecu maybe? I have checked what ecu it has. Nor do i know how to tell the difference between a p5 ecu and a msp ecu.
Welp, i flushed out the radiator and filled it up with fresh coolant. Doesnt overheat anymore.
For connecting the 2 egr ports. I think imma try to run a rubber hose to both ports to connect them and see how that goes.
I plugged just the exhaust manifold bung and the car kept dying. But prior...
So that could be the reason for the protege5 dying? The egr pipe not hooked up?
One sensor in the exhaust manifold,
Second sensor is before cat,
Third sensor is after the cat converter.
Which one doesnt belong?
The junkyards in Salem rip everything off. Its really, a "junk" yard.
