That ability to allow the CMU to use Wireless AA/ACP is huge. To invest in something like this, though, I'd need to know what cars/infotainment systems can be customized with your solution, as well as a list of popular customization options for each car model. And a video showing the functioning...
Did a quick search and it appears that RockAuto has a couple of options (Depo, TYC) starting as low as $100 USD for lens/housing only (no socket or bulb). I imagine shipping would add a good chunk to the cost, but Depo and TYC have been making aftermarket headlight/taillight assemblies for...
Wow, nice! My CX-9's have never even come close.. well, the 2022 had an average L/100km reading of 8.4 (equal to about 28 mpg) when I drove it home from the dealership, but I suspect the dealer "engineered" that reading with some careful highway driving.
Did you do anything different to improve...
Have you checked your infotainment settings already? You should be able to hear some audio from the rear speakers with the fader tuned all the way to the rear. If you can't hear anything at all with the fader set to the rear, then there may be a wiring/connection issue.
Out of curiosity, what does Toromont/CAT charge for an analysis? I have one just down the street but never thought to ask about oil analysis. The last time I did one was in 2022 and I used AGAT Labs - cost me $40 CDN at the time with "free" shipping because I just dropped the sample off at one...
Just in case you want it for reference.. might not be exactly the same as the 2018 CX-9, but it should be close enough to see how to separate the glass from the housing. If I recall, the glass part itself can be ordered separately and isn't too expensive.
I once used a wooden BBQ skewer with a small wad of clear packing tape on the end (sticky side out) to fish a rubber grommet out of a spark plug hole. The same thing would probably work for this bug! Just make sure the tape is securely attached to the skewer ;)
Not a stupid question! Yes, these instructions are just for the firmware update. If you want the OEM Android Auto or Apple CarPlay from Mazda, you need to do this firmware update, and also install a "retrofit kit" that includes an updated USB hub and wiring. The kit itself can be purchased...

Further to what's already been said, Mazda typically does not recommend adding oil additives or treatments to the oil. They are simply not necessary unless you are seeing issues in performance or fuel economy. A change in oil colour doesn't indicate anything on it's own.
Modern engine oils...
Read the post you quoted in full. It explains who you can PM and what you need to send to get the update files.
Please note that it is very important that you follow the instructions when doing the update to avoid bricking your infotainment.
Please check out the thread linked below. Read the first post in it's entirety to understand who to PM and what to include in the message. Thanks!
