I put a Curt hitch on my 2012 CX9 Sport and works great for my bike rack the last 2 years.
I just bought the OEM Mazda Wiring Harness, for light trailer use (I'm aware of the 2k limit) hoping that the plug-n-play connector would work, however pulled panels and saw no connector, then came back to...
I have noticed this problem too. I think it's the middle row light in particular, that won't come on with door open. Seems like the behavior has NOT been consistent, cause cause I remember not being able to track it down.
OMG, I noticed this the day I drove my new cx9 home a month ago. It's an actual known issue? I thought I'd be able to bring it in and they could tighten it down or something. holy cow.
Well, I got the Curt hitch, and while the concept of the install was simple (just line up and tighten the 8 bolts), accomplishing it was much more cumbersome. No way I could've done this without lowering the spare. And then, getting the hitch up and over the two heat shields around the tailpipe...
Sorry, the http://www.onlinemazdaparts.com site. I had looked for rails there before. And again, I can't figure out where to find them. Search for roof rails give nothing. I looked at every hit for 'rails' and nothing. I browsed but couldn't find. (braindead
And actually, I didn't quickly find...
Thanks much... you caused me to look closer and I did see the little divots where the holes are to be screwed. There were 2 others as well, that went unused.
Installation went great.
Anyone have any tips or install pics for the front bracket on my new 2012? I can't find any.
The vague photo-copied instructions that came with the bracket leave me with little confidence on what I'm doing. The dealer is 45" away, so I hate to drive over there to have them do it.
The bracket I...
Four weeks ago, we bought a CX-9 Sport with Power Seat package, MSRP was $31k+ and we paid $25,900 total, without any Financing option. I think this included a $3k dealer incentive. Could've had the 0% for $2k more, but credit union offered 2.5% so an easy choice. Was a great deal on this car.
I bought two cans of regular ole scotchguard last month, the day after we brought our new 2012 CX-9 home. We were going camping the next day, so was really nervous. :)
I sprayed the seats and all seemed fine. Later in the week, a cup of water spilled, and it all beaded up on the surface. So...
I just don't know if I want to permanently alter the look & feel of the new CX-9 by adding roof rails that I will only use less than 2 weeks of out-of-town traveling each year. So, may stick to a trailer hitch and hitch carrier solution.
I'm gonna go with an aftermarket, below the bumper hitch, probably just from etrailer for the ease. This is really just in case I get a bike rack, or a carrier rack, or a want to pull a small trailer some time in the future. Don't anticipate any big boat or RV. What should I look at to choose...
We bought a new 2012 couple weeks ago. I'm on the fence about adding the OEM roof rails. I have still the 52" Thule cross bars and the Yakima carrier we used on our Passat Wagon. Not sure the crossbars will be wide enough. And, I'm afraid our top carrier will be too high and unwieldy to use...
I'm definitely getting a CDM for our new 2012 CX-9.
I read through the CDM install procedure and man that's a lot of panel pulling... I'm afraid I'd get stuck in one place or another, so may have have someone do it. When I mentioned it to the dealer, they said they send the vehicle to a 3rd...
