Huh? How do you figure that?! I'd never say any of those brands is better than the other... they're all top level suspension companies.
BC makes an OK suspension setup for the money if you're not picky about high precision damping or being serious at the track, but they're pretty low on the...
The pictures on Amazon don't look quite right. The fronts have three bolts, not two through the strut towers.
Yeah I'd go Bilstein B6. That's what I was looking at before buying my BCs.
V50? V40?
Struts are integral to the suspension structure. Shocks are not. You have struts in the front, shocks in the back. You can't interchange them- whatever shows up as the correct application for your car will be the right fitment.
Wowwwwwwwwwww so much misinformation in this thread. Simply- a strut forms part of the suspension structure. A shock does not. If your suspension still moves properly and everything is connected without the damper in place, you have a shock as part of your suspension at that wheel. If NOT...
Welcome, I thought so too. ;) Considerably lighter too, plus wider to support 225/50 which really do a good job filling up the wheel wells and giving some extra sidewall for a nicer ride. The pic has 215/50 in it which brings the speedometer up to perfectly match reality.
Yup, I got a P0101 MAF code. Make sure you know all codes you're throwing before spending (wasting) money on parts to just throw at the problem- but it sounds like you have the right one. Clear the ECU after. Other symptoms were misfire and O2 sensor codes. The O2 sensor came unplugged, and one...
That's a pretty specific request... I definitely haven't seen anything like that. If you've already taken measurements with seats completely removed from the car, I'm sure you can map out the volume better than most. There's a LOT of room under that third row once it's out. If you're not...
They probably are, that's just a hunch. I'll bet they ultimately come from the same cartridge manufacturer. ;) I'll put that on my list of stuff to check when I do get them out. S2000 return to stock has now trumped MZ5 return to stock on the schedule.
Have them on my 5. Perfect fit, with or without spacers. I've run 215/50 and 225/50 tires on them. The +55 offset works fine. If you're going to use spacers, make sure you have enough thread engagement- Discount Tire doesn't like spacers. 1/8" will reduce you by about 2 full turns of thread.
Under the passenger front seat. And ouch on the resale value. KBB seems to support these going for about 5k with similar mileage and age, so we'll see.
Not sure- have to see how much I paid for them. Something north of $100, but not too much.
Tony, I'll check and see how much room is on the threaded body when I remove mine. I'll compare to the pictures in my install thread to see how much thread was showing out of the box.
