    hey guys! new here.

Engine bay: It definitely has a cold air intake -- Injen, prolly. Painted strut bar. Missing engine cover. Exterior: Painted calipers (sort of, looks like the paint job must've been kinda shabby). Lots of curb damage to the wheels (or at least the one that's pictured close-up). Some sort of...

    Did I get ripped off?

Even if you don't want to rent the spring compressor -- just take the whole strut pile to a shop and ask the mechanics if they'll take care of it for you on their own compressor real quick. That's what I did. No charge, either. Took the mechanic all of five minutes. What happened to you is the...

    hey guys! new here.

If properly cared for, the MSP can last for a long time. If not properly cared for, the MSP can blow itself up fast. We can help you more if you send us a link to the MSP you're considering. Get us some engine bay shots and some exterior shots so we can see what (if anything) has been changed!

    Rolled the Speed

I wish mine had made it to 100K! It would've been a moment of pride that the car had lasted that long on the stock block without spontaneously combusting, LOL.

can i just put a fmic on a bone stock msp?

Why do you want to mod your car if you're not interested in learning about the car in the first place? This puzzles me. Anyway, I'm with everyone else that's saying to leave things alone unless you know what you're doing. Digging around in the engine bay of a MSP without being educated on its...

Post The Best Pictures of Your Mazda

Hahahaha, seriously. It's like -- hey, there's Jeff's waist up to his windows, and there's Cindy's waist up to the top of her wheels! Geez. I need to get me some stilts.

Post The Best Pictures of Your Mazda

Belatedly -- here's the proof that I wasn't lying on Saturday! These are from September of '05! No photochopping skillz for me back in those days, so the damn sign is still there, hahahah. Thanks for the compliments on my G! I've hardly gotten started on it, but I was too busy between two...

moving out at an early age?

I don't know if you're just ignoring that entire section of my reply because you didn't like what I was saying -- but I'm repeating myself because it's something you REALLY need to acknowledge. I've worked in private restaurants, corporate restaurants, bars, sports grills, big cities, vacation...

moving out at an early age?

A job in a restaurant is by no means a stable source of income. I should know -- I've been working in restaurants for over 10 years. Going out to eat is one of the FIRST things people stop doing when money gets tight. I've seen the business at my current restaurant take a SEVERE downward spiral...

What have you done to your MSP today?

This wasn't done TO my MSP .. but it was done FOR my MSP. So I figured it's still kinda fitting. G's kinda dirty, plz act like you don't see it, cough-cough.

What car did you have at 16?

I wasn't allowed to get my license till I was 17. I think my parents sensed trouble. Had a '93 Dodge Spirit that was a hand-me-down from my dad. That car hated life .. but I can't bash it too badly, it got me around for four years before I got my MSP!

My car squeaks like an old pick up truck!

AXR clunk fix kit. Night and day difference. Seriously. Fixes the noise problems AND seats the rear sway bar properly so that your handling gets even better.

Just bought a MSP, need some advice.

I believe you. Mine was totaled with 92K miles on it, and despite all the engine mods I put it through, it still ran like a champ. All depends on how well it was cared for throughout its life!

Just bought a MSP, need some advice.

The MSP comes stock with a turbo. ;) From what I can tell, the only 'mod' you have is what I'd call a homemade SRI. Looks like the previous owner pulled off the stock air box and put an aftermarket air filter right onto the stock piping. Looks like the car was pretty well-maintained, though...

What have you done to your MSP today?

I had something similar happen with my MSP last fall -- got 'gently' rear-ended at an exit ramp. Got a few scratches and a small (so small that I was really the only one that could see it) dent on the back bumper, but I told myself I wouldn't bother getting anything resprayed until the following...

What have you done to your MSP today?

Those are starting to become my sentiments, too .. but I'm not quite sure how to 'gracefully' put that into words to him. Y'know me, I struggle to not be obnoxious most of the time, and I don't want to be -- hey asshole, put a ring on my finger or I ain't wastin' anymore of my time! (crazy) And...

    Maf/Vaf low input?

I used to have that problem occasionally with my relocated MAF. Need a little more info, though. What mods do you have? Do you notice the CEL appearing more in certain types of weather? Do you have any symptoms when the CEL pops up? For me, that CEL would always show up in rainy/damp weather...

Mazda Forums Official Mazda of the Month (August)

In all honesty, I think I'd drive my car into a ditch if I drove past that on the road (or parked anywhere, or whatever) -- because I'd be too busy rubbernecking and slobbering on myself to pay any attention to where I was going. VERY well-deserved win!! Moar pics?

What have you done to your MSP today?

I'm on here every day, crazy -- I just don't post all that much unless I really feel the need to. ;) B and I have tickets for the first home game -- we'll be in State College all day on the 5th! I can't WAIT! I'll have to see if I want to drive the G up -- mebbe we can haz a photoshoot...
