The Illumina/spring setup by FAR. By like, miles and miles and MILES.
The coilover setup was simply too much for a daily driver, which is what my MSP was. That, and the crappy PA roads -- riding in the car was miserable. It was actually bad enough that my friends and family didn't ever want me...
If you like the look of the Sportlines .. also try looking for Progress springs. I had 'em on my MSP after I got rid of my coilovers, and I LOVED them.
Here's a pic of the stance they gave .. though you can look at my sig, too. FYI, I was also on Illumina struts, not stockers, and obviously not...
Just because some of us don't drive MSPs anymore or don't feel the need to post incessantly .. doesn't mean we're not around doing our jobs. :p
Congrats, Wagon!
Wanna see more pics of the new wheels!
I have a set of Muteki lugs on now, for the winter. They're black, nice and tiny -- solid company and not too expensive. Usually run around $50 a set.
LOL, hell no! Not only that, but I noticed a few scratches on the test-drive-MSP's rear lip after I'd finished the test drive and was looking the car over more closely. The titanium in the back didn't have a single mark.
I didn't have a clue either! I had only the vaguest concept of how boost...
To be completely honest, I never intended to buy a MSP. When I started shopping for a new car, I was pretty obsessed with picking up an SRT-4. But they were hard to come by in my area -- the only one I could find was yellow. And as I'm sure most of you know, I don't do loud colors on cars. One...
I have an air filter that's been sitting in my basement since my MSP was totaled, that I meant to install on the car in the spring. It's not AEM, but it's a good filter. Measure the diameter of your intake piping (I can't remember if the MAM SRI and Injen CAI were the same) .. and we can see if...
Thanks, guys. I really only have one running theme when it comes to my cars .. tint and darkness, LOL. I think I missed my calling as a hardcore goth chick.
Yep! Those are my winter setup -- plan on getting the stock Rays powdercoated by springtime. :)
SOLD!
The wheels are 16" x 7", 5 x 114.3 bolt pattern. Maxxim Ahead in graphite. The wheels are in mint condition, I'd just bought them for $450 a month before my MSP was totaled.
All four tires are size 205/50/16.
Two of the tires are Hankook Winter iPikes, and they're essentially brand new...
You don't have to. I never replaced the brake lines on mine, though it's always an idea I toyed with. It's a kinda mod that's more recommended if you autocross and are hard on your brakes -- but if you're a relatively normal driver that doesn't take your MSP on the track, you don't really need...
It all depends on what you have done.
With all my mods, mine tended to build boost earlier -- basically from the second I 'got on it' until about 3700RPM. Then the boost would hold somewhat steady till about 5000RPM, then crash.
