Yeah, but you'd be hard-pressed to find one. They'll be starting production soon but some dealerships have already sold out for all of 2006. I'm supposed to have mine around the beginning of the summer.
Be careful of a heavily flogged E36 M3. The rear sub-frames crack and need welded. Not a big deal, but be aware if you start looking. I've seen a lot of cheap GTO's around, mostly on lease deals. Like $200/month!
I don't necessarily think they are 'pie in the sky' numbers. I've never gotten less then EPA rated fuel economy on any of my cars when I drive normally. The numbers on the sticker are actually a percentage of what economy they were tested at to compensate for any over-inflation. Although, the...
A 25% improvement in fuel economy is HUGE. Most of the time companies are looking for ways to improve 5-10%. Plus, because of the EPA tests for fuel economy, you could see more of a benefit in your daily driving then how it's rated. Stop and go along with low speed traffic will see the greatest...
I have the rights to produce and sell the Delsing Motorsports kit (6 piston Wilwoods, 13" rotor). I haven't contacted the supplier yet, but it should run around $1200-1300.
You would never be able to get a bearing on the bar. If the bar were a straight rod it would work, but it has flares and bends that you would never be able to get a bearing by.
Yes, I bought all of Delsing's designs and have the rights to produce them. Curently there was a CAD file missing when everything was being transferred to me so that has delayed my timeline. I am shooting for a spring production date once everything gets re-drawn.
The new Tahoe gets the best gas milege of any SUV in it's segment. Some would say they released it just in time. It was slated as a 2007 model but release was pushed up to the first half of the year. That's why it's an '07.
I would look for GM to use the engine in a lot more places then the Solstice.
Not everything is the same as the Solstice. The interior, body, and suspension tuning are all specific to each car. They share powertrains and frame.
No relation to the TC engine. This Ecotec should be able to handle a lot of power.
Highlights of the Ecotec 2.0-liter Turbo engine include:
Steel crankshaft
Forged connecting rods
Forged oil-galley pistons
Jet-spray piston cooling
9.2:1 compression ratio
Aluminum cylinder head with...
evolv - I would have to agree with everything you said. IMO the Delsing Motorsports rear bracket is the only long term fix you will find. With the bushings located so far towards the center the bar is allowed to bend and flex, which wears out the bushing. IMO it's only a matter of time until...
