I did a track day in my Cayman S last month. Got about 6 MPG and went through an entire tank of gas in 6 half-hour runs. In track mode, the engine RPM's seldom drop below 5000 and consistently runs right up to the redline limiter. Much fun.
Does anyone know a source for one. I'm thinking a small battery powered LED with spring loaded on-off switch that will turn the light on when the door is opened. I found some larger ones for residential closets, but nothing small enough for a glove box. I can't believe someone does not make such...
I have owned a number of vehicles with OEM foglights but none of them seem to add substantial illumination to the pavement in front of the vehicles. At best they seem to increase the illumination to the side of the vehicle just a smidgen, but nothing very dramatic. Maybe you need to go to...
Do the lights continue to operate normally, despite the warning? Since the LED headlights must be replaced as an entire--and costly--unit, reporting the warning light to the dealer during the warranty period might help you out if the light fails outside of the warranty.
MP3Tag only runs under Windows and I use OS X. I just put the file in iTunes again and the author continues to be correctly identified. This seems definitely something the Mazda audio system is doing.
Well it's getting the name somewhere, but definitely not from this MP3 audio, which would not contain that name. I've never listened to a book by Mr. Crais (though I might--sounds like my kind of author), so his name is not on my computer. I also don't think iTunes did it as it reports the...
I'm listening to a MP3 audio book by Robert Galbraith (pen name of Harry Potter author J. K. Rowling when she writes mystery novels) As you can see in the attached file, the audio system in my '16 with Bose has changed the author's name to Robert Crais, who I think is a musician of some stripe...
DBLXX,
A bit off topic, but it looks like you might have access to the 2016 service manual, from the wiring diagram you posted. If so, could you check and see if there is any way to disable the resistance sensing function of whatever computer causes the turns signal to flash, so that LED's can...
The description says each bulb has 2 LED elements, I assume one on each side (though that's not clear from the photos). While that might not match the 360 deg output of a halogen, it might be close enough to get a decent light pattern. I have a '16 with the Tech package and really like the OEM...
I wonder if there is any way to turn off the resistance sensing function i.e. hyperflash to signal a burned out bulb. I'm guessing this could only be done by the dealer accessing the computer and disabling that function, if it can be disabled.
Apparently LED headlights are getting better. Not sure what bulb the '14 uses, but you might want to look here:

He installed resistors. I'd rather fix the problem systematically, but exactly how the 2016 Tech Package controls turn signal flashing appears to be the most closely held...
My favorite dealer service rip-off is $100 for brake cleaning. Of course after you pay the $100 the brakes stop generating brake dust and stay clean forever. As irritating as this ridiculous upselling is, I've found that once I make it clear that the only routine maintenance I intend to pay for...
Thanks for your testing 72Dime. Some photos of your resistor installation would be appreciated. As noted above, an LED compatible flasher module would be the best solution, but no one has been able to locate where the flasher module is physically located, or at least my question on this point...
Last weekend I stupidly put a couple of scratches on the fender of my '16 putting the lawn mower away. They are not very deep and as far as I can see only affect the clearcoat. In the past I have had a body shop guy buff out similar scratches, which were pretty much invisible when he was done...
I don't think Mazda's (or any other OEM audio system, for that matter) can play audio books in Audible's native format. You probably can play them from a smart phone via Bluetooth or direct connection, though I have never have got my iPhone 5s to properly connect to the Mazda infotainment system...
