Maestro, I agree and I hope I wasn't coming across the wrong way. Actually I'm a very big fan of aftermarket parts however, if a manufacture is going to produce there own line of products that perform well, I'm a buyer. I have witnessed first hand the whole "your performance part just voided...
maestro, not necessarily! Who knows our cars best? Also the exhaust could flow better, but that doesnt mean it makes more than a handful of dynod proven horse power. From what I understand Mazdaspeed is having issues with the midpipe on the catback and thats why it hasnt been released as of yet...
What jbiird said X 10. Boosted03MSP, sure as most boosters would think, open that exhaust up right, well the MS3 is not receiving minimal or average gains on the CAI, it's receiving the WOW factor. Tell me how or with what product you can gain an average of 25HP and 25ft/lbs of torque for $300...
Noted! By law they have to prove the aftermarket part caused the failure of said name part(s). That is fact and that is LAW. They cannot deviate from that, period. I witnessed it first hand and the case became so indepth a factory engineer was called in and guess who lost, THE DEALER! Now...
That's why I'm going to wait until aftermarket parts for the MS3 become plentiful and dyno proven. With the same research I've completed on the exhaust, I cannot see spending a grand for only a handful of HP. Maybe when the day comes when folks go with larger turbo's etc. it will make a...
Right on! Pre and post dyno's certainly help. Also the intake on the MS3 is extremely restrictive in design. When you first look at it you think it's just the normal intake box by design and expect the usual small gains with a CAI intake however, that's obviously not the case. Like I said the...
As it should be. My belief is if the person regardless of age has the money or financing to purchase the vehicle, they should move as many cars as it takes to allow you to test drive it. When I purchased my SRT-4 it was on the show room, smack in the middle of everything. They moved an SRT-10...
Hmmm, interesting. As SharkDiver said, I would reset the ECU. To ensure all the energy is removed, I would disconnect both positive and negative wires and press the brake pedal until your tail lights no longer light. Sometimes the wires store energy bla bla bla.
Now, I'm with you on what...
I personally believe they should be available for a test drive however, with a salesman riding along. I was really shocked when I was able to take the one I drove for a ride by myself. Sure maybe my age had something to do with it, but young guys are test driving them alone as well I'm sure.
AWDRACER6, you got it, It all depends on the dealer. When I purchased my Vette they let me drive it for a couple days before I purchased it. They even encouraged me to take it for a few days.
Habuzaki, actually that's not uncommon. I had two dealers tell me the same thing and a third dealer wanted a deposit first. So, I called around and went to a dealer that was willing to allow me to test drive one. The crazy part was, they let me take it out alone.
Also, nice goat!
Nice! You should be able to get a greaty deal on one. I really like them allot! Let us know and if you buy one and post some pictures. What color are you wanting?
Best of Luck!
We'll I happen to like the plaid seats! It reminds me of my 84 Gti I owned some twenty plus years ago. So see, THATS YOUR OPINION.
Also let me tell you something Mr. Chico2003, this is the second time you have attempted to bash me without obviously reading my entire post. The first time...
Sorry guy but you can compare the two. What it boils down to is a difference in opinion and what the buyer is looking for. The interior on the VW is only better if you opt for the leather seats. VW's leather is a better quality leather and that's it. If you opt for standard cloth interior the...
Regardless of aftermarket parts, sure that does have allot to do with it however, what type of intercooler did you install? I'm assuming it's a front mount? If so, I cannot give you an educated answer to what should or should not take place, because a few things are working against you. If it's...
