So I finally decided to deal with the battery. When it's got tested at oil changes it's coming up as 440 CCA. Originally 640 CCA. This was an interstate battery from Costco.
Now that Costco's are about $126 for a size 35 and a 3 year prorated. I decided to go with the Walmart EverStart Platinum...
Ya, I'm considering the Walmart Everstart Platinum/AGM. 4 yr replacement. Not totally sold on the idea. Bummed about Costco. I used to take a wrench with and take the old battery in with and walk out with the new, install and drive off. Walmart: $140 flooded 3yr (640 CCA) vs $180 AGM 4yr...
I'm looking at replacing my battery already. 3.5 years. Interstate from Costco. Now they are $127 or so for the flooded and prorated during the 3 years. Ugh. Thinking the flooded (Maxx) or AGM (Platinum) from Walmart - EverStart.
Unfortunately, in US or at least CO, it's now 3 years but prorated within that 3 years. Disappointed as they are convenient for me to get to but I don't think the batteries are as good. I have one of theirs now and it's about 3.5 years and needs to be replaced.
I'm seeing more Duracell...
Lots of options. Starting to wonder here. My regular dealership seems to have the best price and even so over Brakes Plus. Which is close. Neighbor of mine has the tools and we can get the space. But I'm wondering where the rotors are actually at as the dealership didn't say. Although when I...
What is the minimum thickness for the OEM discs (rear) on this vehicle? I'm only eyeballing it but it isn't seem like it's that bad but I honestly don't know. Curious of the front as well.
So the pads are at 3 mm but the technician said the discs are at their minimum they didn't actually say how many mm. I followed up with the service manager.
Sounds like at the dealership or this guy who did my transmission service, neither would change out or do anything with the brake lines or...
I'll have to ask in the thickness of the rotors. They must have been referring to the pads that's a good point. And they said they cannot use the value line because I have an e-brake. Other dealerships were higher by 100 or more. I know the one that gave me the quote for $509 said they do...
They're at 3mm which is recommended replacement. I'm sure up and down mountain roads is a contributor. There has been a little bit of pulsing going on for a bit as well.
Well, my discs are down to 3 mm so they cannot turn them. That would be savings right there. And presumably Akebono which I think have a higher price tag but people seem to like.
