Here's the link to the Japan recall notice. To save you the time translating, it basically says in engines with turbochargers the transmission mount might come loose and will break if too much torque is applied.

Interesting to see how the MS3 is now the 'target' for high-performance FWD sport compacts.

Man... I hope they at least acknowledge they f'd up. I would totally flip out at the shop foreman for this nonsense.
Since there's still a lot of confusion, can someone shed light on how many engine mounts are on the car, and which of them is the one failing?
I thought it was primarily the...
Yup... there's nothing that I've read that would indicate any performance gains from one brand to the next. Oil is a commodity that oil companies sell to each other all the time so you might be buying Exxon the next time you pump at a Shell.
You're basically buying the cleansing additives...

You'll find a few distributors online, but I'll go ahead and plug Protege Garage since they're an authorized vendor of this forum.

However, your ECU will need to re-learn and adjust its settings. It normally does this on its own after a few days...
My guess is they pick project cars based the long-term interest of their readers. The MS3 is a relatively new car with limited production numbers while the evo and wrx and civic have been around for a while with plenty of fan boys to boot. Sadly I don't see this changing as '08 will be the last...
I read a thread a while back about what gas people put in their MS3, but there didn't appear to be a final tally on which brand was the overall preference. To make things simple, here's a poll... so just pick the one you use most of the time.
