That is not cool at all, and I was about to buy there standback, exhaust, and intake... Not anymore. Why argue with a customer that is using there product. Maybe they aren't getting the smae numbers you are and they are mad. Who knows! I'm still just happy to see a trap over 110.....!!!
You have a low 12 sec. car with only a hand full of bolt ons and and when you get a tune! 11's WOW...
Anything over 110 is f'ing fast as hell, congrats on the trap(rockon)
This is with a stock turbo, just imagine it with a big boy turbo and some cams!
O ne of my friends had a 4g63 swapped into one of those and he did burnouts all day. I was hella fast from a roll too. You should have seen the faces of people when he would race a mustang and destroy them.
Those were good times...
Was it a mighty max, you can do a 4g63 swap into those, it's really fun...
5th to 2nd (depending on what rpm your around) doesn't sound like a good ending.
The only reason the cars mentioned that are rwd based are because the way the engine has to set in the car. If you look at an Evo the engine is side ways. A straight 6 has to be rwd based (skyline) because it would be really hard to make it fit like evo's do. Same with a V6 it would almost...
I think I saw you on 71 the other day. I was just talking with my girlfriend an d saying I never see MS3's on the highway and then an MS3 drove by... I was like wtf, that was wierd. But ya good luck with the sale.
Brian
Dropping the 4g63 may be a mistake. I bet the evo IV has the better of the two (as far as holding up to high hp). The new engine is aluminum and not DI. Every turbo car puts out a ton of heat and when you run high boost with bigger turbo I see bad things happening to that engine (compared to...
Hey dont let the people that can't believe you mess with your efforts! Some peolpe will never belive you. They could watch you do it at the track and then when they see the times live, they would say the timers are fixed. Congrats on your times, and keep on keeping on...
It's better for many reasons! The biggest reason they are doing it is for emissions purposes. When the new emission standards came out in 2007 the DI will be the way a lot of cars go.
It also allows longer engine life do to better combustion coditions. The new cadys are putting DI in the...
The problem with safc's are they tune for maps that you make based on your last log, but if variables change or you add another mod the tune is way off and you have to start over again. The safc doesn't learn and just tricks the ecu. It was really hard to get a good tune on my dsm to last...
(eek2)
UUhh ya.. That wasn't really the argument but anyways. Before any other comments like that, the ms3 is a great car for fwd and I believe everyone will agree. I'm sure the scubbies and evo's will always own autox, ibut for fwd the ms3 is a very capable car. With more r&d in the car it...
I'm glad your school is enough to know everything! And your right I don't have eyeballs and any sense either! AutoX is great and just saying don't be surprised in the next couple years.
Those are also 2006 results! How long was the car out then? 2 or 3 months! Come on, I'm not saying our cars right now will compete with them. We can have this little battle in about 2 years when some good drivers race the ms3 as much as the good sti/evo drivers. And I'm still not saying the...
I keep hearing people say that the wrx modded will destroy the ms3! Yes in a drag race. But who cares. I strongly believe the ms3 is an extreamly well platformed car and will give all the top tuner cars great competition in road races and short track. Yes there are a lot more wrx's that are...
Looks like you should get that with your mods, but it has a lot to do with the tune! Get tuned at Polk or another shop in LRock! We should do a dyno day down there some time in the near future!
Unless the core is extreamly thick and way too big then I don't see the ms3 raising coolant temps much because of a frount mount. Plus if they did then I would just use water wetter to get those extra few degrees back. Plus it will have better air flow on top of the engine with the top mount...
