Gas is also $2.09-$2.29 a gallon here this morning for 87. Not bad, not bad, but still slightly above the $2 price ceiling I think gas should have anyways.
There was a $.30 difference in 87 and 93 yesterday evening and this morning here at the cheaper gas stations. Sams Club, Wal-Mart, etc, however the average is $.50, at stations like Exxon etc.
I'd shoot for dealer discount of $3600 (10%). You should be able to get that, and if you find the right situation as you state, maybe even top $4k+. Good luck, stay patient and persistent and let us know when you get it.
It definitely will, if you keep your foot out of it. (naughty)
These things run rich as hell from the factory (most cars do these days, especially turbos), so one of the easiest ways to make power is to lean it out a little. Probably make 20hp+ alone on a easy lean out and still keep it within...
$2.09 this morning for 87, $2.39 for 93. Only offer 87, 89, 93 at most stations here, a few do 91 and even 110.
Glad to see them close the gap on the premium some as I miss the $.10 increments between the two. $.15 is the lowest increment I've seen in awhile, and even around here, that is not...
Was your spare tire secure? SOunds like the bolt that secures the spare tire, however, that usually has a plastic piece too that's big enough to cover the tire mounting hole.
0.2 tenths is actually a pretty damn good bit in a drag race.
The extra 23 hp the premium gets should be good for about .2 tenths in the 1/4 mile, but I don't know if it is in the CX-5.
Why do you need permission, or it in writing? It is against the law for them to make you get oil changes and service at the dealer. Youre free to get oil changes anywhere, just keep the documentation. No problem, thats what a glove box or a file folder is good for.
You have simply nailed every post here on extended warranties and maintenance plans, but we've been down this road before, and you're talking to a brick wall here, unfortunately.
Nevertheless, I applaud you.
If your mechanic charges more than the dealer, even for routine maintenance, Id question how honest is he actually.
I pay less than half of what my dealer wants for simple maintenance, and a huge deal less for big repairs at the local mechanic.
Im highly inclined to believe everyone else does...
