Install went well - still have a clunk over speedbumps, though. Guess I need to check the endlinks too. The front bumper now scrapes on the driveway due to the lowering. I have to hit the driveway on the diagonal and go real slow now.
When I had the house built, I actually had to have the driveway modified - I couldn't get my RX-8 up the driveway (not even close). I thought I was out of the woods...
I had the front of my car up on jackstands, and I had one wheel on and the other off. I started the car in neutral, and when I let out the clutch, the left wheel started spinning slowly. It stopped after a moment, and further engaging/disengaging of the clutch had no effect. I didn't see what...
Koni Yellow/Pro-kit
Finished up my front struts - Yellows with Eibach Pro-Kit. Unfortunately, my front bumper now scrapes the ground when I'm getting in and out of my driveway :( This with one person in the car. Should be interesting going to work in the morning with my wife in the passenger...
I took both of them apart yesterday (no pics) - I'm just waiting on a new bump stop to arrive Monday before I put the 2nd strut together. My recollection is that it was seated the way I installed it - I'm just curious about that other HOW-TO I read, because I'm not sure what the purpose of that...
Front spring alignment question?
I'm half done with my front struts/springs (yeah I know, bad time to ask), but I've read conflicting info on how to align the spring tip with the bearing. I read on some other forum that the spring tip should be aligned with the nub that sticks out on the...
At best, switching to synth buys some time, hopefully (in Mazda's eyes) until the warranty is up. I ran Mobil1 in mine from mile 1500. Turbo smoked at under 30K.
I'll be doing my Koni fronts this weekend (if the honeydew list is short). Will keep you posted as well. Dealership said it was 'normal' to clunk like that...
And they wonder why I perform my own service whenever possible.
I dunno, both of you made me chuckle (but then I follow politics pretty closely).
I see Blago's becoming quite the celeb. Talk about wanting to throw up in your mouth...
Sucks, man! I use Metrinch tools - you'll never have that problem. If you can get hold of a Metrinch socket, you should be able to get that bolt off.

I've been pretty pleased with the auto wipers in general. The auto headlights, however, are a different story. You'd think the system could turn on the auto headlights when the wipers are on lots of times during daytime rainstorms I have to turn on the headlights manually. Yeah, I know, what's...
