Interesting.
Hey, I remember you had all sore of suspension issues with your CX5 because of the roads. What did you end up doing, repair or replace your Cx5. Or both?
We were in the same situation as the OP. Had a 2018 CX5 that was out of warrantee and didn't want to take a chance going forward.
Since the only thing certain is that the Turbo's head was redesigned to fix (hopefully) their crack issue, we went with a 2024 Turbo CX5. Nice bump up in power and...
Just checked our 2024 and at the last screen shown in the video about the car is there on the right but with no tire pressure numbers.
Wonder why CX5 is excluded?
Wonder if there is a secret way to turn it on?
All I know is that as soon as a hybrid CX5 is offered, I am trading in our 2024 Turbo for one. We just rented a 2025 Camery Hybrid and it was great! Fast pick up and returned 38 MPG around town. Could not even tell when it changed from electric to gas while driving.
That must be what's going on but the interesting thing is that my 3-month trial when I bought the car did not include traffic info, but now I'm getting it.
We no longer have Sirius XM (trial period ended) but they keep sending me Emails and letters trying to get be to sign up. So maybe this is another way to get me interested.
We are taking a long road trip next week so will be interesting to see if I get alerts along the way.
Very odd...have had our CX5 new since Jan 2024 and am using a Navigation Card off of Ebay. It has never given us any traffic info. Today, suddenly it said "congestion ahead" and showed yellow over the road ahead. We were not using the nagivation but had the screen on showing the map.
Anyone...
We are in! We looked at a Toyotas hybrids when replacing our 2018 CX5 but did not like the styling. So purchased a 2024 CX5 Turbo. Would have got a hybrid CX5 if they offered them here in the US.
The reason is we have a small electric cooler bag that plugs into that socket to keep stuff cold in the summer. I would love to just keep it plugged in all the time but if I were to forget to hit the off switch on the bag when the car is not running it would run the battery down for sure.
Our 2024 CX5's power port in the trunk is always on even with the car is off. Anyway to make it switch off when the car is off? Is there a secret setting to do this?
