You must be driving 55 non stop :-)
My CX-5 just finishes it's first tank and current reading says 27.8mpg. But I'm still happy - previous car was getting 14mpg in the same environment :-)
I was in the same boat as you are and I decided to skip it. Here is my way of thinking
1. $2k is way too much for xenon lights
2. My father's Toyota has xenon headlights and everything (ballasts, wiring, self leveling) is internal inside the headlight and the headlight is totally...
It's probably automatic system assigning cars to dealers the moment they arrive stateside and the website reflects it when in fact the car is still in Indiana (or wherever the staging facility is)
No it's not. Consider that CX-5 weights only 3200 lbs (empty). Imagine situation where you have 4000lbs boat on the hook and you have to slam the brakes. There is no way that rear axle will keep traction and the slightest misalignment of the set will jack knife the whole set. On top of that the...
The difference is that small button on the door handle allowing you to unlock door without using fob (it's enough that it's in the proximity of the car). That's the only difference. Fobs look exactly identical.
Are you sure it's the same keyless entry we are talking about? Here in US all of them have keyless entry, but only GT+Tech have advanced keyless module allowing you to open the door with fob in your pocket. All the rest have 'standard' keyless fob where you have to press the fob lock/unlock button.
Looking from the list you're getting GT? TO get tech package in Touring I would have to get moonroof package as well so I decided to skip this. Here is my list:
1. Navigation - as mentioned 15 minutes install. Price is steep for now. I'll wait for those to show up at the junk yards in few months...
After driving my CX-5 for few days I find this feature as one of the most cumbersome features of my Mazda. Can you guys explain to me what is the point of having keyless start if you have to use the fob to open and close the doors anyway?
I drove Charger for few days and there you could have...
But it's not. I've heard it explained by Subaru's guy this way:
1. Symmetric = equal distribution (50:50)
2. Symmetrical = at the same time (read definition 5 in your dictionary link)
Subaru used symmetrical to describe system that transfers (some) power to both axles all the time. Which means...
Subaru's system is not symmetric, it's symmetrical. That makes huge difference. Subaru's PR people know that most won't know the difference and will call it symmetric while in fact symmetrical is nothing more than fancy word for AWD. Unless you buy STi with fancy electronics in differentials you...
Insurance rates are a mystery to me. You replace '06 Mazda3 with CX-5 and they quote you _additional_ $62 a month. I added CX-5 to my policy and State Farm quoted me $39 a month. Not $39 more. $39 total a month for full coverage. If I were you I would spend 2h and seriously look around. I n my...
It is not, but it's not that great either :-) I got $500 off MSRP just by calling another dealer. And considering what the first one wanted to charge me on top of MSRP I'm well within the same savings. I have paid about $1000 less for my CX-5 last Saturday that I would have to pay if I stayed...
In US it's almost the same, with the exception that official numbers are usually published with the delay, so manufacturers estimate their own numbers and put that figure on the sticker for first few months.
Having said so - they can't really cheat, because if the EPA's official numbers will...
Spent some time shopping around. My quotes will probably be off by much from yours unless you live in the Middle of nowhere, Iowa, but I have just paid around $40/month for my CX-5 in State Farm. Btw. it's only slightly more than I paid for my '99 Range Rover (~$35/month).
