Not true. Not in comparable class, and the XC-90 is 7 seats only. Prices start at almost $48K.
And whoever posted above that the X5 and Q7 have optional 3rd rows--I just checked. That's not the case.
Aren't all the carpets black, no matter what the seat color? That's how my '12 is. There have to be pix on the internet somewhere. Autotrader? Cars.com?
Look*Mazda May end up doing this. The newly announced CX-30 shows they don*t mind some overlap among models.
BUT*I asked about *this class* and you referenced the X5 and the Q7. Not this class at all. And for what those vehicles cost, BMW and Audi can afford to offer that kind of production...
This isn't happening either. Name another SUV in this size class where the 3rd row is an option. Not enough takers for any manufacturer to invest in that option.
Those companies are way bigger than Mazda. They can afford to add in-between sized models. Mazda's sales volume doesn't provide the same justification to do the same thing.
It's not really "fortunate" that the replacement was covered under warranty; it's by design of the warranty. Most defective parts will fail during the warranty period. LEDs *should* last for years, and the fact that yours failed so early is evidence of a defective part, not the normal lifespan...
That's what I thought, so I did. It's 3-rows.

Go to the dealer, and take a long test drive on a hot day.
I had them in a Lexus, and I wasn't impressed. Unfortunately, I can't say how good Mazda's system is, but that's definitely something that you want to feel for yourself if you are using it as a decision point. Personally, I would want...
What's the point, if you don't want to cut weight? If you are taking out the seats, and filling over the void that's left, then you have the same cargo area as with the seats folded down.
I agree. It makes more sense to, say, resurrect the CX-7 name as a 2-row model between the CX-5 and CX-9. A 2-row version of the CX-9 would have A LOT of cargo room; probably more than the typical buyer in the market for a 2-row mid-sizer would want. The CX-9 is longer than most of its...
I didn't get an invite. But when I used to own a Lexus, I participated in their similar program. It's hard to say if it's worth the time--who knows how they end up using the data. With Lexus, it was maybe 5 minutes once a month.
I'm with you--I don't want Captain's chairs. Why do I want a 3-row SUV that only seats 6? That's just one more than a CX-5. I suppose on models where you "could" fit 3 in the 3rd row, then I could live with that.
