And to add another review (Performance Drive) of the 17' CX-5's unit:
"Heres an area where the CX-5 has always majored, and right off the bat, we can confirm it still does.
The 2.5-litre engine is a superb unit, feeling punchy, super responsive and clean-revving. At no point in the rev range...
Not sure if there are sensitivity and distance settings for the SBS like the MRCC. From what you described, I'd imagine you'd experience it more than once unless it was just a once-off.
Anyway of adding an aftermarket CD player via the AUX channel? I miss my CD stacker in the old car! Pretty sure the AUS model CX-5 also doesn't come with CD player either :( I'm not thinking of upgrading yet so.
The Rogue has got one of the lowest power and torque figures in its class plus a CVT. Anything going for it is its size which tells you it more so requires a more powerful engine.
Latest comparison in Aus between CX-5, Tiguan, X-Trail (Rogue) and Escape. The CX-5 came out on top...
BSM is probably my favorite feature on the CX-5. It's the most used feature for me. It's never not detected a vehicle in my blindspot. In actual fact it is a little too sensitive and light up when there was no vehicle there but just a hedge. I still glance around to visually check before...
Interesting results so far. I picked the 17 but now wish I could re-vote to 16 as it'll be a classic the more I think about it. Hard choice as both are nice with slight longer bonnet giving the RWD sporty look compared to the competition. I guess the 16 lines have more character and the 17 has...
I hear you there. Agree with what you said. Though the 17 is more refined, the 16 was revolutionary in terms of the first iteration of the KODO design language evident by the fact it won numerous design awards. It still is unique and one of a kind and will go down as a classic. The 17 won't win...
Sorry I don't have side view photos of the 2 stock CX-5s. You should still be able to compare the body lines and design of the 2 vehicles. It shouldn't make any difference. Feel free to post stock photos if anyone has any please. Perhaps I can post up my old gen. Anyone got a new gen side photo?
Looking at it I think the 17 looks sleeker, refined more upscale (perhaps the paint?) but the rear end side profile of the 16 looks better imo perhaps due to the spoiler from the top edge and just looks smoother. I give the 17 the edge but still happy with my 16 :)
Same. And our local Mazda dealer now has an open lounge and kitchen within the showroom for anyone to help themselves with free snacks, cakes, biscuits, muffins, juice, fancy coffee machine and big screen TV to entertain the kids. Tempted to go there again just to browse and check out the new...
I thought so too until I drove the in-laws Nissan Dualis/Qashqai (smaller Rogue) which didn't have parking sensors at all even on the top model despite having 360 camera. The screen and glare on that was so bad I couldn't see it backing out and hit another car. Never thought parking sensors...
wow. so many different variations between different regions and so confusing. I take it BigTex got his lighting kit due to not not having a GT spec CX-5 hence getting the Signature LED DRLs?
So lower spec CX-5s don't come with any DRLs whatsoever but come with LED parkers? Since the position...
