I have the hard rubber cargo tray as well, but it's a little heavy.
It's not "fine". When the driver of a car cannot be seen he/she is endangering other cars as well as pedestrians.

Again, IT IS THE PEDSTRIANS AND OTHER DRIVERS WHO (for their safety) NEED TO BE ABLE TO SEE INSIDE YOUR CAR.
For example, is a mom pushing a baby stroller going feel safe entering a crosswalk if some fool idling there has his front window tinted ? No. She has no idea if the driver of the car...
It's not you who is endangered by your tinted front windows; it's the pedestrians and other vehicles. If they can't see where you (the driver) is looking, they become at risk.
On my 2016 CX-5 I had Toyo's, Geolanders, and BF Goodrich. The BF Goodrich were my favorite for city driving handling characteristics as well as freeway cruising:)

Your insurance company might pay for the windshield repair. Mine had a Safeliight Glass tech visit and "fill the ding in the glass" (so it would not spread), and for 3 years now the ding/crack never spread.

We currently have both a 2016 and 2019 CX-5 and have never noticed any difference regarding brakes.
Mazda OEM offers heavy duty hard rubber cargo mat. Mazda OEM also has a soft cargo liner.
I own both and much prefer the soft cargo liner, which covers the rear of the back seats as well as flip down piece to protect the exterior metal when loading and unloading cargo.
