No, I did not disconnect the car battery. The car is running fine other than hearing the intake of air more and what sounds like a BOV sound. It has died down a bit now that we have been driving it for a few days.
Well this weekend I decided to replace the spark plugs on my own this time. The first time the dealer did them at 40K. I am at 86K now. All went smooth until I was bolting down the bolt that held the third ignition coil down. I had it almost secure and the bolt started tightening but still not...
Hello All,
Came across this https://corksport.com/2018-mazda-6-2.5l-turbo-boost-tubes.html Has anyone replace there stock with the Corksport boost tube and does it make a difference?
Does anyone have access to the suspension section in the shop manual for the 2016 and up CX-9? I am looking to replace the rear shocks along with the front but cannot seem to find the steps. I assume to access you need to remove the cup holders but not sure what else.
How dirty was your throttle body? I have 81,000 miles on 2016 CX-9 and never cleaned it. Wasn't sure if I really had to remove just the intake or more than that to get to it.
So I spoke to my mazda dealer and also another shop and they both quoted me around $300 labor with alignment. The OEM parts themselves are around $400.
Hello All,
I am looking to replace brakes and rotors soon on my 2016 CX-9. The stock rotors have a bad tendency to rust so something that resist as much rust would be better. What brands have you all gone to? I looked at the Powerstop kits and EBC so far.
I usually get my parts from an online mazda dealer. They usually have a pretty good discount and I can drive down to pick the parts up to save on shipping. I may look to the shop that did my leveling kit on my truck to see how much they charge to replace them.
Hello All,
For those of you with higher mileage 2016 and up CX-9's. When would you expect to replace your shocks\struts? So far we have 80,500 miles on our 2016 CX-9 and only had to do normal wear and tear maintenance. Last time we were getting serviced, I asked to look at our shocks and they...

I was at .335 and went to .367A thinking the touchscreen while driving would be enabled again but it didn't work at least in Apple Carplay. Has anyone else's touchscreen get re-enabled? I believe they did this for safety but even my GMC infotainment which is newer I am able to touch the screen...
I did. Bought this one https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07KRPSRKH/?tag=m20b7-20 Then followed the instructions posted on this forum. Saved me $300 bucks doing it myself.
Thanks mchu123. I have been following your post as well. Did you see any other signs of the leak other than the low coolant? I pulled the plastic protective cover under my 16 CX-9 and found no signs of leaks on the engine, water pump or on the plastic.
Updating the software only will not give you android auto or Apple carplay. You need the new USB port like the one here. You need to find the right one compatible with your vehicle.
