    Question about tire repair

Last week when the mobile mechanic replaced the rear brake pads, he recommended replacing the tires right away. I have felt more vibrations in recent weeks but wasn't sure. For my next set (in two years), I hope to be ready for a different size. I don't know enough about AWD yet to stray. 😅

    Question about tire repair

The plugs look silly. 😄 They have been holding up. Actually, the Bridgestone set was good at holding air despite the nails. They are not runflats though. Somehow the punctures didn't leave me stranded. Having let folks cut in and out in front of me and making room for others, I figured I have...

    Question about tire repair

I bought this set of Bridgestone Turanza in April 2024 for $405 from SimpleTire.com. They were brand new but old (from late 2020 and early 2021). I remember laughing at myself for getting what I paid for: half the price, half the life. In two years I got maybe 48K miles out of them. Four...

    Question about tire repair

The new set arrived at the shop this afternoon so I went and got them mounted. Saved $20 by hauling the worn set home. Once at home, I was able to locate all 4 plugs plus a new puncture (brad nail?) that hasn't done any harm yet. 😬 I didn't notice that nail until I ran my hand down the...

But they don't look right. 😳 The grey piece usually connects to a similar piece with two or three prongs. Here you have two skinny wires with spades and stripped ends. It looks like a DIY fix to connect to the loose wires from the harness. Anything not working? I know someone who can decipher...

It sounds like one fast & furious collector cup per submission, but up to 4 submissions per household. There are many versions of the cup, the offer is on the one that retails for $15. That makes the oil practically free! 😄

    SkyActiv Oil Analysis Thread

Sent my 3K sample in today. If the values for potassium/sodium stay low, I won't go for another report any time soon. One report costs more than one oil/filter change. Regular gas is now over $6/ga in my area. 🤦 As I continue to search and understand how else potassium gets into motor oil, I...

Where is the plug at? It looks like the front end below the passenger side fog light assembly. You think something got pulled off when the impact occurred?
