I have the same issue with my Weathertechs. Any mud and dirt seems to stain them...and it's not just the grooves. Plus, the dead pedal only covers half the carpet.
You think you're doing a good thing by buying a brand name...
My thought processes on this stuff are backwards.
I may have mentioned that I belonged to an investment club in the early 1990s. One of the things that hit when we had that club was bottled water.
Me: "Bottled water!?!?!? Who's gonna pay for something that vends for fractions of a cent at the...
Gotta wonder what XM is gonna do especially for Mazda.
I wonder if this will fix my intermittent Voice Recognition issue, since it seems to be a sporadic database issue.
I think Mazda got a deal on some 8086 Processors, althought I've not been in any other vehicle that has all this stuff, so I have no frame of reference.
And there doesn't seem to be a lot of consistency within a given unit. It defies what I thought I knew about computers. Isn't "repeatability" supposed to be a given?
I'll restate the only recurring issue I've got: Voice Recognition at times will not recognize a spoken station name ("XM Symphony...
Yeh, I get the "Updating" issue on my old Delphi receiver. (Funny how this legacy unit never experiences "new tech"compatibility issues.)
But again, these issues are not universal with all 2019+ CX-5s. That's what baffles me.
And on a tangential note, I don't understand why turning the car...
I'm the same way, but my other vehicles (2 trucks) had in-dash units, not computerized Infotainment systems.
And I've said before that I've had XM since the early days, and still use my original Delphi receiver that I've carried around to use at home, at work, and in my cars (I picked up a used...
Did that come before or after that June 3 email you posted?
So the update might be an XM push and not a Mazda update, huh?
I continue to wonder if other manufacturers are also having these compatibility issues. I don't hang around other forums, and a quick search only brings up generic XM issues.
Just to clarify (because I'm not sure how to read your first sentence), my dealer did not tell me that this is also driven by XM. I read that in comments here. I cannot say for certain that Mazda's stated position is that XM updates are a contributing factor.
Did your dealer tell you they are?
That's interesting.
I had my 2019 Reserve in for routine maintenance back in March and--since they had it anyway--requested they update the infotainment software. The Scheduler did a preemptive "It won't fix any XM issues you're experiencing." Abraded much???
It's good to know there's a real...
Interesting.
I'll have to try that with the Voice Recognition volume. The software upgrade made her "Say A Command" voice barely audible. I know the manual points out a place other than Guidance Volume for that one, I just need to find it again...or to try this with it.
Thanks, 7 and CX5!
And then what?
Have you adjusted it on a going-forward basis until you adjust it again?
And she's not angry. She just knows a guy won't ask for directions...
Not sure I understand. Are you saying that there's an adjustment in addition to the system's Guidance Volume adjustment...that I can do it "on the fly" without going into the infotainment system features?
That would be nice. After I had the software upgraded, I've struggled with getting the...
