Aus public is still warming to the new-gen CX-5. I think most buyers are still more comfortable with the old shape CX-5 looks. Just my feeling. That said the new gen CX-5 definitely has the desirable tech and features. Additional sales figures for the next few months will probably provide a...
With the recent news that Toyota and Mazda have joined forces to create a new infotainment system, this is another blow to the AA / CP hopefuls.

Correct. Once we see more reviews and comparisons over here we'll see that the differences between the two will be marginal with performance and mileage figures contrary of those in the US.
Looks promising and looks like it has some inner parker lights on together with the halos or is it actually in Parker mode with tail lights on? Hmm. I need to wait till I see more on the roads before I'm able to catch one on the move conclusively or check one out at the dealers on my next...
Good write-up on the comparisons with all the others in its class. As with journo comparisons, the CX-5 more often than not comes out on top. It's not so much that it is a lot better than the others in any one area but more so it is proficient in all areas. Kind of a jack of all trades. When...
You are missing the whole point and is dismissing this breakthrough by Mazda. You're the one bringing up hybrid and electric vehicles which this topic is not about.
Daimler, GM, Hyundai and other manufacturers have also been researching and trying to develop this tech to be the first to bring it to production. It doesn't make sense not to when it is called advancement in technology improving efficient, power, torque whilst reducing emissions and fuel...
Ah sorry. Didn't see you posted that in another thread. I thought the cylinder deactivation bit was a different thing. No doubt HCCI will be revealed at Frankfurt. Look forward to the reveal. This will certainly separate Mazda from the rest of the competition and it'll make them go from strength...
Mazda to reveal ground-breaking HCCI tech and new design for its next small car within weeks....
For now, the company is targeting another 30 per cent reduction in fuel consumption with the ground-breaking introduction of HCCI next year. This claimed reduction is in addition to the 30 per cent...
Good to know how other SUVs drive in comparison. Thanks for that. Been driving a relative's Nissan Dualis myself which handles like a boat. Feels heavy and the CVT is so uninspiring. Driver seat position is also too high. Smooth ride but that's about it. Nothing to write home about.
I hardly use Auto mode because I don't like the fan blasting at full speed for it to achieve the set temperature. Having said that, on a hot day and once desired temperature is reached I'll probably try setting it back to Auto. It's really not necessary as I am changeable and like to adjust the...
As for some that say the CR-V is much faster than CX-5 that is not true. Depending on your initial reaction at take off and other variables, one or the other could get over the line quicker than the other.
The CR-V is not superior in acceleration in any way. They are both not sports cars.
The...

Mitsubishi Outlander 1143
Subaru XV 1138
Kia Sportage...
Thanks. I always have it on ECO mode and never really had any major issues with the heating / cooling. I always knew it had something to do with Economy just didn't know how it worked as the user manual doesn't really explain it either. I also use the i-stop.
