I am considering the Continental LX20s or the Pirelli Scorpion Verde tires to replace the OE ones on my CX9 (Touring FWD; 18" wheels).
My only concern about the LX20's is the 'T' speed rating vs the 'H' OE rating. Tire Rack & my installer don't think it matters, I've been rolling on 17" R...
onlinemazdaparts.com sells a basic chipped key that is good for a spare. I ordered a couple and I can't get them to work. I can open the door, but I can't turn the ignition. I was wondering if anyone else has this key - I'm just trying to determine if they are cut wrong, or if there is a...
I had mine switched a 2nd time July 2012, and its been fine since. I had considered an upholstery shop if they continued to toe the party line that it was normal.
I'm rolling on 17's for the winter - usually after a couple months of salt on the road, we've got wicked potholes so I figured that extra half inch of sidewall gained with 17" wheels will help soften the blow...

I ordered a wheel & tire package from the tire rack:
17x7.5 Rial Como wheels - picked them because I like the look, were reasonably priced and are low pressure cast.
Bridgestone Blizzak DM-V1 tires - good rating on tire rack, and I've enjoyed Blizzak tires in the past on other vehicles
I also...
Isn't this a feature? My other climate control equipped cars (Hondas) the blower motor doesn't kick on until the engine is warm - who wants to get blasted with cold air when they turn on the car in the winter?
Link to OEM installation instructions - seems more aftermarket than I'd like (cutting into harnesses, wire taps, etc..)

I just called five dealers within ~40 miles of me for quotes on the OEM 2010 remote starter. Quotes I got:
$493.33 (tax not included)
$613.95 (tax not included)
$780.00 (tax not included)
$818.95 (tax not included)
$819.67 (tax included - out the door)
Everyone wanted about the same price for...
My 2010 Touring came with 245/60-18 tires. Tire Rack is suggesting 245/65R17 - so I don't have the benefit of running a narrower tire. I do gain about a half an inch of sidewall, which would be helpful for dealing with all of the horrific potholes but I already have the benefit of using 18"...
Thanks for the tip. BTW, is rust proofing worth it? I recently moved from Southern California to the Cleveland, OH where I'm assuming rust is an issue.
I've had this happen getting my CX-9 cleaned. It looked like someone poured olive oil over the whole dash.
Don't worry, it'll go away in a couple weeks :)
I really wanted a minivan when we bought our CX-9, but I work from home so my wife would be driving it primarily. She was very against any minivans because of the stigma associated with them :) I have two small children, one at the time we bought the CX-9.
I agree with the above posts about...
