As you already know, this paint is hard to match. The dealer I bought from has access to a paint guy that has experience working with this color.
The photo is rather stark and the spot isn't as big as it looks. Still sucks tho.
On the positive side, at least that first ding is out of the way...

Battle Damage: Door Paint in Parking lot
Mileage: 4950
I'm in the grocery store for 35 minutes. Come back to a new door ding.
I'll be getting it repaired.
I parked far up the lot away from the entrance with at least two open spaces on either side.
Some humans can't...
I get the hyper-focused "OCD" thing. If I pay this much cash for something, it should be 100%.
My roof paint defects and scratch were not noticable from the angles where I stood when I bought the CX-9. It wasn't until I was on a stepstool, washing the car above the vehicle at a 45 viewing...
Update to my last post.
Llumar windshield tint had to go. Grainy, pixelated vision happening when lights or anything reflective
came into view... including lighter colored vehicles.
Had it replaced and it was even worse. Buh-Bye.
The rest of the car looks great.
Went into the dealership this morning for 5000 mile service.
Loved the relaxed vibe in the shop.
Met a mechanic there who gave me 20 minutes of his time.
He answered all my Mazda questions. Nice guy!
He said with normal driving, the brakes on the CX-9 should be good up to 80-90k miles...
I couldn't give a rats ass about CarPlay. Sure, it's a nice gimmick but necessary or a deal breaker? No.
Me and the wallet are growing weary of feeling like slaves to Apple and many "must-have" technologies. I don't need that sh*^ to feel complete.
Ok, back to staring at my iPhone.

I'm not helping just griping... this is why I stay off interstates and stay far behind trash haulers, etc.
I had to take the interstate the other day and this truck with a huge flatbed in front of me was covered with rocks. Everytime he hit a bump / bridge connection, gravel just went flying...
Just got the windows tinted by a great (and expensive, gulp...)
custom automotive shop. I went with Llumar 80% on the windshield, 20% in the front and 50% over the second row on back.
Very happy with the heat rejection. Love the look. Lifetime warranty on the tint.
I paid a lot for my 2018 Signature, around 47k OTD. The dealer offered 15.5k for the 2013 Rav4 trade, pretty good.
0% for 60 months (I'm paying the loan off in 3 years) and comes with a great lifetime engine and powertrain warranty.
If warranty work is needed, I can have it repaired wherever...
Goose... Are you driving a 2018? It could be that it defaults to "on" for that years model. When I set the "Turn off screen with clock only" it does remember that when restarting the car.
I was hoping the HUD would default to off upon starting the car. As it is now, I have to go into the settings menu and turn it off manually, everytime.
I've been wrestling with this too.
Mine is the 2nd row seat, passenger side.
When I take a quick look back there, that seat is vibrating like hell. Man, the noise is annoying... almost as annoying as a politician.
I have to physically separate the seat from the one beside it with my hand...
