When the dealer was having trouble finding a meteor gray with the Tech package we told him we'd also take a liquid silver. I really like both colors on the CX-5.
We had a gray Mazda Tribute since '03. Was thinking it would have been nice to have silver this...
^Congrats on the purchase.
I've test driven four different CX-5s and every single one of them had that burnt oil smell when we stopped-- especially after highway driving.
I'm thinking it's a coating or protectant of some sort burning off. Wouldn't worry.

Wife and I made the same decision. We've been in an '03 Tribute LX for the last ten years and plan on being in the CX-5 just as long.
Justification for us was as follows:

Went with the GT w/Tech for the same reason. We've had a Tribute LX for the past ten years and plan on holding this one just as long. Price of the Tech package is worth it for the adaptive xenons alone, imo. And while neither of us has ever rear-ended a car, if the SCBS saves us once, it's worth...

Agreed on a price of $30,300 but that's with $500 Mazda loyalty rebate.

I'm not seeing where it says it won't get the diesel. It says they haven't confirmed the diesel for the US yet.
