I went for a trip to Walmart and my brakes felt close to normal than close to mushy. Funny because my mind was already leaning towards this is an issue - but it still did not feel like. They felt mushy yesterday but have gotten better for sure. I will keep an eye on it. I may have given Hiley...
Called Mazda Corporate - he tells me Hiley did not think the TSB was needed but they did it in good faith. And now that they did it in good faith - they are not going to look at issues arising from this. Will talk to a second dealership Freeman and see if they can fix it. Cluster F
I just looked at my bill they only bled rear calipers and not front. I guess this is what TSB says but it should not make the brakes feel mushy or soft.
If you run your hand over both paints - if you feel a rough surface maybe that could cause it to stick. The car should be washed and clayed before paint correction.
It felt worse immediately after the change. Today it felt a little better I would say. I still have a strong feeling the bleeding was not done correctly.
I will drive for a day and see - If I measure the moisture and it is a high number - that should give me a hint? shouldn't it?
My dealer fixed this exact issue. In my case the rear wing was wobbly. Also my rear 2016.5 center windshield mirror was wobbly too. They said its tight - but still tightened it.
C&D got 34 mpg in real world testing. I have never seen more than 30 on a highway unless I am under 65-70. So its good - but their combined came in 3 lower than EPA #. Confused so in city they got 24 mpg or something???
I am confused - I felt the pedal too soft yesterday and the dealer sent me back saying its ok. Today I am feeling the pedal medium soft-definitely better than yesterday. I am out of warranty in 11 days. I don't know what should I do. Is it normal for the brake feel to get better after bleeding...
Picked my car and dropped it after 10 minutes. The brakes felt squishy. Really lot of travel and no bite. I went to Hiley in Hurst. I like them and they fixed it on my third visit.
Mine are being fixed now. 32K miles never felt an issue but heard noises and ignored it. Mazda evaluated that pads and rotors are fine and did not warrant replacement. They only replaced the Caliper. I asked my advisor for pics for my reference he said his foreman did not save those.
If s***...
That was true for 2017 model year. Except turbo was not available in 2017. In 2019 the NA models have Cylinder deactivation. Head over to Engine and Transmission section to see the horror. In 2019 - an NA would be better suited for extended warranty than the turbo.
There is nothing like Invoice pricing. Its not official unless it comes from Mazda and is on their website for everyone to see. What is official is MSRP - it includes your car / trim / options and delivery. Now a large dealer may get a better deal from the manufacturer and may have bonuses tied...
I doubt any Mazda is hybrid equipped except 14-18 Mazda 3 which is a hybrid in Japan and Australian markets. Right now EU has Skyactiv G and few other mild hybrids. Rav4 hybrid is priced economically and actually has a smoother transmission than regular hybrid. It is well worth the premium.
I have started to not recommend 18-20 non Turbo CX5s to friends and family. Such a cluster **** this is. My #1 CX5 pick is 17 Touring with PEP followed by 16 with Tech (assuming headlight recall is done). So sad that so many people have lost faith due to like what 1 mpg?
Do this - get a custom made CoverKing windshield sun shade - costs about $50-70 -get one for your CX5 model year. Park your car in office facing the sun and put the shade. The shade will be hard to put in the first 1-2 months. You can now definitely see the difference in temperature. This blocks...
^^ You are right. It gave a Shell station for 2.40 with 13 c off. I have a shell nearby for 2.23 which is better. I also can get 2.22 at Murphy or 2.20 at Costco / Sams club.
I think this could be for stations that for some reason have lower foot traffic due to price. But yeah - definitely not...
