Agree, and additionally my tires are 10mm wider and a few tenths of an inch taller. Assuming of course your gtr and my touring awd have identical suspension...
I know the seat issue has been beaten to death, and I am also not a fan of the stock seats in our ‘19 touring. Not sure exactly what the issue is, but feel like I’m sitting “on” the seats as opposed to “in” them, if that makes any sense.
Has anyone looked into whether there is a “bolt-in” seat...
Should be fine if the wheel clears the turbo front calipers. Currently have rx-8 wheels on our 19 touring, which has left VERY little clearance to front suspension, but there has been zero rubbing. Here’s the setup...

No ideas where the pics went. I’ll try to repost later.
No idea of replacement cost yet, but will ask when i go pick up the car. I do know that they have a lot of glass to clean up, and my SA said he’d have to drop the headliner to get it properly cleaned. There is glass everywhere, from the...
lmao...now it all makes sense!
As for conditions, it was just two of us in the front seat with some baggage in the back under the cargo cover. I would say about 2/3 of the cargo area under cover was occupied, and that too fairly loosely (ie not stacked like Tetris). Sunroof closed, sunroof...
Haha...Was actually rolling silent (no music) when it exploded, so it was that much more startling. No music > Justin Bieber any day
Mazda has agreed to replace the sunroof under warranty. Pictures definitely helped, and apparently I’m not the first to have this happen. Still going to have...
Agreed that this is not as uncommon as one would think, but I am 100% certain this was not caused by impact. Mazda certainly should cover the repair given the circumstances (6 month old vehicle under b2b warranty, sunroof blew outwards), but I somewhat expect them to try deny the claim. No harm...
We have 23k miles on this car in 6.5 months. It travels daily on horrible Merced county rural roads, and in the summer is often 100+ degrees out. At the time the sunroof blew up, it was about 60 degrees out & overcast, and we were just cruising in a straight line at about 70mph on a smooth...
Tried to find other instances of this happening on a gen 2 cx5 after ours exploded, but all I could find were on older gen 1 models. Seems like a big problem across many manufacturers, with Hyundai/Kia having the most trouble (followed by Nissan and bmw).
Dropped our white cx5 off at dealer and...
Shade was not closed at the time, so yeah glass all over us. It is safety glass, but there were still lots of tiny sharp shards (splinter size or a little larger) and this is what easily pierced the skin. Majority was what youd expect of broken safety glass though.
Headed to dealer in a few 🤞🏽
