The tire warranty is from the tire manufacturer, not from Mazda. The warranty is for premature wearing, falling apart, other tire failures from tire defects when manufactured, as stated by erhayes, not road hazard, which is what a nail damage would fall under.
I can't imagine there's that much difference between 0W20 and 5W30. I would think using 5W30 in warmer areas and 0W20 in colder areas should be fine. You might want to avoid the opposite(0W20 in warm areas and 5W30 in cold areas). just sayin...
Yeah, my dealer is willing to attempt the fix, but, he didn't seem to have a very high confidence level that it would actually fix the problem without messing something up from having the door mechanics taken apart. High likely-hood of creating a new problem.
I got the Soul Red, and I worry a little, since I had a 1987 Red Ford Tempo, by the time I got rid of it a few years later, it had drastically faded to pink. I plan to keep up on good wax, and hope modern Soul Red w/perl will hold up much better than a mid-80's Ford red did.
