Dealer just called and car will here tomorrow. I just downloaded the owner's manual. A 714 page PDF, and that doesn't even include the separate manual for the navigation system. The manual for a Boeing 777 is probably shorter.
Out of curiosity, how does Mazda distribute their vehicles in the US? Since all manufacturing is done in Japan (I think), I'm guessing the vehicles first arrive at some port on the west coast. Does all dealer distribution occur from the initial arrival port or does Mazda have other distribution...
After over 80K completely trouble free miles in a 2016 CX-5, and in light of some unbelievable financing deals Mazda has on offer, I visited my local dealer in Central Illinois to see about purchasing a 2020 Signature. Though I really like Soul Red, I don't want to deal with that paint color's...
Don't the TPMS sensors run off a small battery built into the sensor itself. Could the battery(ies) be on their last legs in a 2013 vehicle and producing erratic output.
I had 75,000 miles on mine when I called and they agreed to replace both units at a cost of $100 each, which I was very pleased with. Maybe the class action lawsuit has caused a change in attitude or maybe I got lucky and got the right customer service rep. Their records also may have shown I...
I lived in that era too and had a 340 Plymouth 'Cuda with a huge 4 barrel carburetor. When you floored it you could literally see the gas gauge sinking to E. "Ethyl" was about .30 a gallon, so the fun was cheap.
U.S. law does not require DRL's so a failure of them can viewed as a mere cosmetics issue, not a safety one. I think Canadian law does requires DRL's, so it maybe different up there. The service rep at my local dealer said she'd seen quite a few failed DRL's, but I was the first person who had...
I don't think heat from the LED's themselves is the suspected cause, but excess heat in the electrical circuit that drives the LED's. Most LED's run on something close to 5V, which means they have to have an electrical circuit to provide the LED's with a reduced (from 12V) and stable power...
Does anyone what design/manufacturing flaw causes these lights to fail prematurely? I'm sure the Mazda engineers know, but I've never read the explanation in this site. Mine are to be replaced Monday and I'm going to ask the service rep if she has been instructed to return the bad units to Mazda...
My well out of warranty CX-5 (about 75,000 miles) lost both its DLR's over the last year. Mazda Customer Experience Center agreed to replace both headlight units for a total of $200. Given how many miles the vehicle had, I thought I was treated very fairly. I'm considering a 2020 turbo model to...
I had to give up using a Passport 9500ix because of the constant false alarms from radar signals in newer cars. I replaced it with a Uniden R3. It has GPS so you can lock out frequently encountered door openers and the like and has a number of other features to reduce false alarms, such as the...
My 2016 CX-5 just turned over 70,000 miles and I'm kind of thinking of trading up to the Signature trim. About once a week I do an interstate merge where a few more ponies under the hood would make things less stressful. The 2016 runs just fine and I'm in no great rush to make a trade. Based on...
The weight sensor in the passenger seat of my '16 CX-5 has become abnormally sensitive. Even an iPhone laying on the seat will sometimes trigger the irritating chimes. This is something that has started only recently. Any idea of what's going on and how to fix it?
If you are the named representative plaintiff and the suit is successful, courts often allow a nominal payment to the representative plaintiff to compensate them for the effort of serving as the representative plaintiff. A problem here might be in identifying all appropriate class members. Mazda...
My vehicle has no rear seat USB ports.
Up until recently the front USB ports did put out enough power to charge the phone, even if the charge was slow. The problem with the 12V socket is that it is live all the time. Something has changed; it just haven't figured out what yet.
Neither of the USB ports on '16 with Tech Package will charge my iPhone. I tried a Lightning cable from a home charger which does work and still no charging. I think a data connection is being made thru the USB cable. Is there a fuse somewhere I should be checking?
Thanks.
The numb steering would kill any consideration of the Volvo for me. Why would you design a vehicle with numb steering? Did Volvo do consumer preference tests and consumers said they liked numb steering?
