Well, you can do the light cover yourself probably for a few bucks if not interested in their quote, or find shade-tree mechanic for that.
Try a second opinion about tranny, there is always change is it screwed.
Basically, idea is fuel tanks made of plastic, so no rust build up, fuel at the pump is clean. So nothing to really filter.
I took two tank out for unrelated issues in 2002 and 2003 cars two and 3 years ago with the screen fuel filters, they were clean as a whistle.
What he said is true.
I've never replaced a crush washer in a good decade and a half on my previous car and have never in Mazda since it was new in 2012 doing oild changes about 2-3 times a year.
Probably not a good thing to do, me bad, bad boy! (drive)

Yes. You would have to remove the check for the RFID signature or make it think it is always there.
Probably no aftermarket for this due to the cars limited run nature.
You can also just live with a large key chain :)

Don't have one, sorry. Based on the info you found, with this wide of a range they give does not see to matter.
Just go between the both settings at around 185.
You can't easily bypass unless you know hacking. That's the whole idea of the tech.
the box I told you, does what you did just without leaving the key in. It emulates the RFID signature.
Maybe you can add similar device used for the remote car starter that does that?
Can even add a switch under the dash which normal car thief would not know about or add a push start :)
0w-20. I know some ppl are anal about the brad but I buy what is on sale.
Major brands all meat the requirements and all synthetic, so not that far all from each other.
I've tried the cheap $30 sets and found them to be garbage.
The light output is s***, reliability of balasts is crap, the lightbulbs bases crack.
Seem at around $50-$60 a set the quality shoots up to the good level and several of my e-bay sets lasted good 3-4 years before I had to replace bulbs...
Why?
Are you having issues with gas supply, did someone dropped sand in your tank?
Generally those are life time filters and don't require changes.
I've dropped a few gas tanks and found that the filters were clean enough not to worry about changing them, and that is in cars twice as old as...
I see they sell one here: https://www.rvinyl.com/Mazda-Mazda5-2008-2010-Headlight-Protection-Kits.html
Just depends if you really need it.
It does protect from lights going yellow with time would help.
I'm yet to see a headlight broken with a rock, usually windshields take one for the team, so...
Probably engine not liking thinner oil due to wear. It is a good idea to stick with what works. 1q over 2k is still with in the norm though but annoying to have to add.
