Tesla just entered the chat.
I mean, there's always going to be purists and "old folk" who prefer the older way, but for this 40+ year old guy, Tesla's screen is pretty intuitive and almost everyone I know who has one says they think its a huge improvement over what they owned previously...
Not sure if it's mentioned, but after a year and 3 months of owning my '19 Sig:
- No 360 camera or backup sensors in Canadian model
- No lock on the glove compartment.. C'mon? My first car, a 20,000$ Chevy Z24 had this... as did my two Mazda 6's..
- No auto-sense of your hand to unlock the door...
What IS the best way to clean your engine bay? I've heard various people over the years say to use a spray hose on it, i've heard others say DOOONNNTTT lol.
Whats your secret Conrad?
My '19 does this - I think I even posted here about it.
It's annoying and it makes me feel like my car is older than it is. It's probably just my own brain, but it feels like a car that's about 4-5 years old and its barely 1 year old.
I have 24,000 km on my car.. I'm going to mention it to...
I agree with you - I can't seem to find a common set of failure modes. And I'm an IT guy. Lol.
Yes, one of the things I've noticed is that if I jump the gun and try to change channels or fiddle with the commander knob before the system has had plenty of time to load, I get these issues.
As for...
It's so funny you should say that, because whenever it's happened to me, ~30 (+/- a few miniutes) fixed the issues for me almost every time.
AND occasionally, the 3 finger reboot has worked at least twice for me too.
There doesn't appear to be any common fixes across different units, so...
I have said ALL ALONG that the issue is with the SiriusXM receiver module.
Keep in mind, SiriusXM comes out with new receivers all the time. I'd be interested in knowing if the receiver in the 2019+ is a newer model that's causing issues.
I know when I had my old Mazda6 (2009), SIriusXM...
I'm in Ontario too. My car just hit the 1 year mark. Do you think I can get away until the next Oil change? They wanted 300$ for oil change + brake service which I think is just insane.
They were recommending a brake service that included inspecting the brakes and lubing up the calipers etc. Seems like a load of s*** to me, honestly.
The manual does indeed show 48,000km / 36 months for the air filter, and the only other services they recommend are just to inspect hoses...
Hello All,
Have a 2019 Signature with the turbo, and its going in for its 24,000km service (1 year of ownership). They're doing a brake service supposedly and checking the filters.
It's going in for service this coming Friday and I'm certain they're gonna flag the air filters either way, so...
I haven't had any issues with mine and I live in the great white north.
No issues at all.
Perhaps I'm lucky.
Also - I remember when I was at the carshow, they told me the 2019 CX5 had wiper heaters or some kind of heaters in the windshield to prevent snow buildup - does anyone know if...
I have had several "fail to load" issues recently, and I'm not sure if it's just coincidence or not, but almost every single time it was raining out / the car was wet with rain from overnight.
Not sure if it's just ironic, or if that has something to do with the problem.
