ours has a few little problems recently. passenger door handle broke (apparently, after reading up on the forum, it is a common failure) and either the switch or relay for the dash lights went. we ordered the handle directly from mazda for like 60$ and my friend helped fixed the dash lights...

ATP sells the RS for 1175 and the R for 935 ... i just check that site when i need a quick price. it pays to shop around if you can get one for 965
that means the stock T25 can't handle that kind of power ... you should look into the GT28R or GT28RS ... the RS spools a bit faster than the 28R iirc and can produce more power. If price is a concern, the 28R would be best for you, as it can produce the level of power you are looking for and...

well if they hook up to the obdII port, which i'm sure they do every time you bring the car in, he may see some things you don't want him to see. maybe it will record higher boost levels, different AFRs, etc, something that can make him want to dig deeper
