(thumb) Pretty much cemented its place as the #1 SUV in Australia. Add the 2.5T next year hopefully and it'll continue to be king in Oz for years to come.
Medium SUVs may even overtake small cars to have the biggest market share - 1st: Small Cars (18.1%), 2nd: Medium SUV (17.6%)

I think Mazda should offer discounts on their extended warranties (to 5 years) for people who purchased vehicles from the same build year as people who bought from 1 August.
Motoring site reviewing the Mazda6 GT mentioned:
* Subsequent to this test of the Mazda6 GT, Mazda announced its entire range will be covered by a five-year/unlimited-kilometre warranty. The new warranty does not apply retrospectively. Hundreds of buyers are believed to have purchased the...
Just tell them same build, same KG code; give me 5 years. lol. Touch wood you won't have any major issue for the next 5 years. It's more a peace of mind with the 5 yr warranty.
As of today 1 August, Mazda Australia now offers 5 year unlimited kilometres warranty to all the vehicles purchased from this date. Should give consumers even more reasons to consider Mazda. Perhaps Mazda USA may follow suit...
If you compare the results of the headlights of the same model (GT) between '17 & '18, the light output range is different, hence the change of rating from Acceptable to Good for the headlights, therefore something has changed. The logical conclusion is they just increased the driver side...
Actually when comparing the different year models, it appears Mazda reduced the dip of the headlights on the driver side hence the now better illumination range. If I'm not wrong.
I don't use this feature because the wife and kid usually gets out of the car and closes the back door last so it won't work. It only works once the driver or front passenger door is the last to close I believe. It would also be nice if the rear doors have the keyless entry sensors like some...

Will be interesting to see end of financial year sales this month with all the sales specials on. It won't matter too much for the CX-5 as it always post consistent numbers without the need for special deals. Wonder what category the CX-8 will be under..
Pretty much in line with worldwide trend toward SUVs which can only be a good thing for Mazda. Not surprised the Mazda 3 and Miata is on the wane due to the trend. All manuafacturers will have their strong and weak sales products. Looking at it from a glass half full...
KE CX-5 has one light in the Cargo Area not on the underside of the tailgate. So I assume the accessory on the KF/G adds 2 lights either side of the cargo area + LED?
That's a pretty good improvement. It could run quicker times too as the new model was on full tank of fuel and engine not fully run-in as opposed to the old model which was running on half tank of fuel. The 2.5L tested on that occasion could also run better times in my opinion as the times...
Thanks for that. I’ve seen the DRLs but usually the halos are really dim compared to the inner LED lights. The Halos look brighter on your photos perhaps it’s just the photo or angle. How can you just have the Halos on without the inner LEDs? Just turn on the parkers?
Yes indeed. (thumb) Now with the same power but with 450Nm! of torque and better mileage, I'd seriously consider it if I were to upgrade next. It is also super quiet for a diesel engine.
Good to hear some feedback. I have seen several reports now that the CX-5 is right up there with one of the quietest cabins even when compared to the luxury marques. Would love to have the HUD. How's the Traffic Sign Recognition? Didn't get the Kuroi Sports pack?
