Haven't touched it on our 2016 CX5 with 117K miles. Our car is still running fine. I would have cleaned or replaced it by now except for what you posted.
To replace the transmission filter yes you have to drop the pan. I think I ordered the filter from Rock Auto and it came with a new gasket. Just make sure you scrape away all the old RTV first. The fluid was actually fairly dark. I don't know if this really indicates anything or not. When I did...
No dragging issues with rear brakes. So far the daytime lights have never had any issues either. Recalls were done a while ago. EVERY car has a recall.
2016 GT now at 118,000 miles. ZERO issues ever. I do oil changes every 5K, changed transmission fluid drain and fill only at 45K, 75K and then 110K. At the 110K mark I changed the transmission filter too. Battery was replaced last summer at around 114K miles. On my second set of brakes. Just did...
I did a drain and fill at 48K, 75K and then dropped the pan and replaced the filter at 110K. There were some tiny metal shavings in the pan. Sine then the transmission has been shifting like new.
I did option 2 but had the MAF sensor connected and the top of the air filter housing turned sideways. This gave me plenty of room to check the tranny dipstick with the car running. I figured running unfiltered air through the engine for a couple minutes really wouldn't hurt anything.
We just bought a 2019 HB Mazda 3. I agree the interior and quietness of the car are on par with BMW and other luxury near brands. We've owned three BMW's (still have one). Power is only decent. Comparing it to the Honda Civic we drove the Mazda felt light years ahead. Granted the Civic EX had...
I just changed the tranny fluid on our 2016 CX-5 2.5L over the weekend. it has 113,000 miles. Last drain and fill was at 75K. This time I pulled the pan and changed the tranny filter too. I also let it drain a day and a half. Two things surprised me. First in 38K miles how dirty the fluid...
Great update, thank you. We have the Continental DWS06 tires on two of our other cars and are very happy with them. Will have to look at upgrading the CX-5 when it's due.
110,000 on our 2016 GT. Zero issues ever. Tranny drain at fills at 50 and 75K. Going to do another one here very shortly. Oil change every 5K. Mostly highway miles. Still averaging 30.5 according to the computer.
