Probably all of it. Initially thought I would leave the horizontal bars in the grille chrome, but I’m liking how the rest has turned out, so might just do everything.
No haven’t been able to get to the front yet, life got in the way. Hoping to get it done in the next week or two. Will post pics when I’m done for sure.
Only caught it because I got excited thinking I could buy the gloss black trim instead of trying to wrap mine. Not that lucky. Will be one the hardest spots to wrap I think.
On the left side, are the pegs only behind the CX-9 portion? Would I be able to remove the “AWD” part without leaving any holes? I’m vinyl wrapping my badges and would love to not have to do that tiny little AWD part.
edit: I just went ahead and did it. No holes behind the “AWD” part for anyone...
Yes to all of the above. Better looking, longer lasting finish. Look at the Audi’s with the black optics package or the higher spec BMW’s. All gloss black trim and grilles.
Got on a roll last night and got everything done except the front. I’m super happy with the result so far. It’s definitely not perfect. Right up close you can see a few spots of blemishes, but from even just a step back it looks pretty good!
The pictures don’t really do it justice. The gloss...
Update...I’ve decided to press on! Was able to get one side of the window trim done and while it’s not perfect, from even one step back it looks pretty good!
Definitely takes a little while to learn how the vinyl behaves but I’m starting to get a handle on it. I will post up some pics when I’m...
Would love to hear an update from the OP as to whether he finished the chrome delete.
After getting a couple $800+ quotes to get it done professionally, I decided spend less than $90 for the tools and supplies and try it myself. The learning curve is steep to say the least. Unfortunately the...
I think it's possible to get a quiet low profile tire, you just have to spend a bit more $$. I saw a Volvo XC90 with factory 285-35-22 Pirelli Scorpion. Pretty sure they wouldn't put that setup on a $100K truck if it was going to ruin the ride.
Went from a 2016 CX-5 GT to a 2019 CX-9 GT and couldn*t be happier. Similar driving feel just with more room, nicer finishing and more grunt when you put your foot down.
Just curious if you ended up trying a different spacer setup? I'm looking into spacers and wondering which size to go for. Did the 25mm fit without modifying the studs? Would 20mm work without modifying as well? Also where did you buy the spacers from?
Sorry for all the questions just trying to...
