Just got my new wheels today, and my final vision is now complete. I must say I couldn’t be happier. I will do a dedicated thread with more pics and full specs when I have time, but here’s a couple of quick pics right after they were put on...
Just to prevent confusion I think what you are describing here is the new “hill assist” button. In the 2019 and older models the TCS works the opposite. When turned on it applies brakes and lowers engine torque to prevent tire slip, when turned off it allows to the tires to spin freely. Here’s...
I’m not familiar with 2021 system but your advice on the hill assist button seems good. Not sure what model year the OP has, but here is the manual for my 2019 below...
If I was stuck in deep snow or trying to get up a hill, turning the TCS off would allow the wheels to spin which can help aid...
TCS is designed to help you. I would definitely leave it on. Best advice is to get a better all season tire or snow tire. All the technology in the world can’t help those Bridgestones in snow. They are just that bad. Look up reviews for that tire and you’ll see many others have had the same...
What tires are on your car? The Bridgestone ecopias that came on mine was the worst experience I’ve ever had in snow period. We got a skiff of snow when they were brand new and we were sliding ALL over the place. I’ve since got a set of Nokian winter tires and the car is now a tank that can go...
Niche’s don’t come in the offset I want and are too heavy. Vorsteiner’s are amazing but more $$ than I’m willing to spend, (same for Vossen’s, love them but haven’t been able to find any sales and I can’t quite stomach for full sticker price). Will look into the Avant Garde further, thanks.
First choice was the Verde Axis. Second choice is the Asanti ABL 13. Very similar looking but I slightly prefer the Verde which is no longer available in 5x114.3
Ya I’m leaning towards no myself, especially because this is my family vehicle. Breaks my heart a bit though because I love these wheels I found. I do have a second option that I like that has the proper bolt pattern, just don’t love the look of them as much as these ones...oh well
On my hunt for a set of 22” wheels I found some that I really like but they are sold out everywhere across North America. I contacted the manufacturer and they said they have stopped making that particular spec as not many people want 22” in that bolt pattern, and instead just recommend using a...
I want an aggressive flush look so I’m totally ok with it. My only concern would be rubbing in the fronts, and it’s so hard to judge that without physically mounting the wheels and tires. That’s why I’m hoping to rely on other’s setups and experience.
I also want a concave wheel and it seems...
So I went into my local wheel shop to look at options and the sales guy said that the 22x10.5 +25 would be too aggressive. He suggested going with a less aggressive offset and adding spacers if need be. I’m not sure that I totally agree, but if I order the +25 and they don’t fit I’d be stuck...
Driving from Vernon, BC to Lake Louise for my brother-in-law’s wedding. Supposed to be about 4.5 hours but they shut the highway down all day for avalanche danger at Revelstoke just as we got there. We had the groom in our car and the rehearsal dinner was that night so we had no choice but to...
