These are minor...I’m sure dealership will stand by the car they sold esp when you took pictures right away. They’ll likely just buff out these minor scratches. They do happen...when I picked up my CX-9 4 yrs ago I immediately pointed out a dent at the lower driver’s door so they told me to...
I’m pretty sure the AWD will be good in the CX-9...this generation came out late 2016 so approaching 5yrs and I haven’t come across AWD issues experienced by owners in forums. I’ve had mine for 4yrs and no issues so far including the 2.5T engine. Last year I was getting my CX-9 serviced at my...
They’re only good at removing all the protective plastic films from exterior and interior panels, seat coverings as well as plastics from the alloy wheels but not checking details like proper tire pressures! Last Dec when I took delivery of my brand new Mazda 3 there was barely any windshield...
I always come across FWD buyers of SUVs in forums regretting later on saying they should have gotten the AWD but rarely have I come across AWD buyers regretting that they should have gotten just the FWD...
As earlier posted by sm1ke, go for the AWD...the benefits and small added cost outweigh the inconveniences and maintenance cost. Even if not needed in Cali, the AWD also increases the resale/trade value down the road. Another plus is the desirability of AWD in SUVs...who knows in future you...
Just to close off this thread, my infotainment screen was replaced by my dealer last weekend under warranty that was approved by Mazda Cda. Now looks perfect and brand new!
Maybe a better decision for Mazda to avoid future warranty issues but the vibration issues I think are isolated and not as significant in numbers especially after their recall update done back in 2019. I’ve had no vibration issues in the previous and current CDA engines that I have (knock on wood)!
Also check to make sure the air recirculation mode is set to “return” or circulate within cabin and not take fresh air from outside. Sometimes the auto climate control can go into fresh air intake when temp is set to 22deg...
If you really are in no rush, hold off as long as you can likely until near end of the month when dealers are usually trying to chase after their volume targets. By telling them now you’ll think about it then you let the deal “simmer” for couple of weeks then they’ll likely chase after you and...
In some angles this new MDX appear to have borrowed some design cues from CX-9 (long hood, front end, side profile, etc) which isn’t a bad thing considering Mazda makes amazing designs. The price tag is just too steep at $60K vs a CX9 Signature at $45K-ish?! Of course different markets as MDX...
No specified break-in procedures by Mazda but just like any new vehicle, recommended to not race engine above 4K rpm during 1st 1000kms; not to stay on 1 gear for extended period of time, & no sudden or hard braking
Same here...not willing to pay at or above MSRP any longer regardless of the brand for new vehicles. Learned my lesson in past purchases! My previous Mazda 6 purchase was $6K below MSRP while my current Mazda 3 was over $4K below MSRP. Both were clearance models of course but still...
That’s also true...Hyundai/Kia’s reputation even as much as they try to move upmarket with better quality interior materials and design will always carry that image of “budget” vs the other brands and I think that’s why Hyundai has the Genesis brand to differentiate (same with Honda’s Acura...
As much as Hyundai/Kia have made huge strides in the last decade I still am afraid to touch them esp if I’m keeping the vehicle for long term. I had a Kia in the 90s and that car was atrocious and I said never again! Of course they’re better now and while they’re close, still not on par with...
Sweet! Congrats on the new ride! Just curious, did you get a good/fair value from the insurance payment from the accident? Was it also a good deal from your dealer on the 2021 CX9? The Signature in white looks great for sure with that new brown Napa leather!!!
It’ll depend in your area if AWD is needed but for most part a FWD vehicle is good enough. I wouldn’t worry too much about the MPG advantage on a FWD vs AWD as not huge of a diff. IMO I would consider though the resale value...while you save $2-3K for a FWD, you’ll get that back in an AWD when...
