Hello yrwei52, Thank you for highlighting associated concerns. I already have the the folding mirrors as standard equipment. I merely wanted to to probe if other owners used the device as an aftermarket addition.
Just wanted to find out if anyone have installed such a device to let the mirrors unfold automatically on startup of the engine and fold on shutdown of the engine?
Looks promising...
Thanks Anchorman, Just found the exact same "non slip stickers" in a local shop and applied it with Velcro. Looks good and will probably outlast the vehicle.
Hi Anchorman,
Can you perhaps trace the glove box light wires and provide some info on where it leads to as well as possible wire colors?
Appreciate the effort.
As promised a small write up of my 2x 40W Spot/Flood lights installation below the CX-5 Petrol Radiator.
Already mentioned is that I utilized two holes below the radiator to fit two 10 mm bolts that I used to bolt the light brackets to. I have also studied this video on How to remove the bumper...
Regarding tapping into the two wires that feed the light on the tailgate on a 2016 CX-5: I located them on the blue harness connector as Yellow and Blue wires. They are located at point 4P and 4F as indacted on the picture below. I modified the picture to indicate the location where they are to...
The delay is about 10s after the dome lights go out. I elected to use Violet and Blue&white wires because it fades very fast and switches off instantly yes.
Thanks to Migkaspar & Ea5e and everyone else for the valuable information.
I found that using the blue&white and the brown wires, the lights have a long delay to switch off. Equally so when using the blue&white and violet wires the delay in switching off is almost instantly.
Question about...
Thank you calebian21.
Additional to the install I would like to use the High Beam connection to switch a wiring harness with relay as in the attached picture below. What do you think, will it add value in the sense that the light bar/ spotlight LED's be only switched on with the high beams...

Thank you Ride92 for a very detailed view in your research on products, appreciate. I can agree and identify with almost everything said with the only exception that I have not yet tried Armourall......been also looking into a coating on the paint and plastics, but a bit pricey here in SA...
Thank you for the inspiration Kedis82ZE8!!!!
I ordered these struts from the link below and I really like the way they are installed. Super Easy. The bonus is that the items were delivered in only 7days to South Africa instead of the normal 60 days...
Well, I sure wish they would sponsor me, but after testing a lot of different "generic" widely advertised commercial products, the available Ultimate Protectant seems to be the best available solution currently...
I am yet to test some Turtle Wax Trim restorer to see if it will hold up against...
Was wondering what the community thinks about Meguiars Ultimate Protectant to use as a Plastic Trim maintenance product, kinda like wax, but for the Plastics on your CX-5.....

Looks very good calebian21!! Well done on a fantastic installation.
If I may ask: Did you connect it to the High Beam Relay? Have you installed a seperate switch inside the vehicle? I am also thinking of using a wireless 12v remote switch because I do not want to make holes in the dash....but...
