Drove from Illinois to Maryland. Sometime during the trip my exhaust got super loud. I suspect a leak or hole in front of the muffler, so I guess exhaust work will be done when I get back.
Ok, I've had a few gremlins since owning my 5 but they've always been intermittent. The latest started a few months ago when the passenger side rear window wouldn't go up with the master switch, but would operate with the the door switch. Now the door switch won't operate the window either. So I...
Haven't done this one to the 5. But I will say this, when a job looks complicated. Start very early so you can finish the same day and don't have to try to remember what went where. Take a picture before you take it out will help too. Also look at youtube videos. You may have to view one taken...
Ok, after going through a set of yellow and a set of white Nokya H9s in the fog light housing, I can say that they lasted a little over a year with everyday use. That was the cheaper Nokya bulb too. I get about 18 months with my least expensive Phillips H9s on all the time... Hope this helps.
Not a direct bolt up. You will have to do a couple of cuts. Can be done though. I picked a complete exhaust up for $25. Maybe I'll get it on this summer. Anticipate the car accelerating a tad slower due to less back pressure which kills torque.
I have about 20K+ on this setup with full KYBs. No mods to the rear bumpstops. Another benefit to the H&Rs is that you won't have to compress them to install the front struts, making installation easy and worry free. If you look on my pictures in my garage area you can see the shocks I used for...
Ok, I can answer some of these. I've been running H&Rs on my 2010 touring since 62,000 miles. I currently have 112,300 miles. When I first installed them, I also installed KYBs up front leaving original shocks in the rear. The ride was quiet (at first) but by the following spring, a noise...
So glad that you and your family were ok. I think a lot of us were worried about third row intrusion. All the speculation in the world couldn't put those pictures in our mind, so thank you for posting them.
You should look to the the transmission control module
This bolts to the outside of the transmission so you could possible do it yourself.
I hope you get it sorted out!!!
