I do have mb weapons on my car in 17x7 +43. what I did was put 4 12mm washers on on a few studs and let the wheel sit against them to see where the wheel will sit. 12mm out is where a 17x7 +45 will sit
but today, no more mocking up fitments. Tested a legit 17x8 +45 with a 235/40/17 on my car...
no more mocking up fitments. Tested a legit 17x8 +45 with a 235/40/17 on my car, at ride height
so anxious now to order up wheels!
when I get my wheels im gonna see how a 245/40 fits since I got a bit of space til i hit the fender lips and plenty of space still up front
played around with fitments at work. heres how my s*** will sit with 17x8 +45
front
rear
wheel gap is present because the car is on the lift. That s**** gonna be close to the fenders with 235/40 tires.
bc perform nicely but I dont like the quality. Ive snapped off 3 endlink tabs from the right front in less than a year of having them. granted BC took care of it and shipped me new sleeves and endlinks(since the other ones bent too)
ran them on my trans am. crap tires. offered no traction at all and would chirp second gear on more than half throttle(after it fought for traction in 1st).automatic tranny too
got a compression check done . 185psi across the board. also quoted 670 for timing belt/idler pully, accesory belts and water pump. parts and labor. I just might do it since its gonna cost almost as much in parts alone and I dont have to kill a sunday and some(yea right I get it running on first...
so I wired in my wideband for power only(still needed to get the o2 bung welded in) and it operated fine. noticed it cut in and a few times but stayed on. then after being off for a few hours it did not go back on when I started the car up. tapping on it as I did before did nothing. I soldered...
Problem with going that low on offset is raj is I can't fit the 235/40
if I stck with the 7inch wide i can get down to 35ish on offset and fit(not sure what the case will be on motion though!)
