Hi all,
My 2016 GT AWD is just past 30k miles and I was wondering how many miles did you get out of your original set of tires? I'm assuming I should get about another 10k, but wasn't sure if you could go further.
Bonus points if you have 19" rims and AWD for comparison purposes.
Thanks!
I hit a curb with my wife's CX-5 and made a very loud BANG. But as everyone else mentioned - no real lasting damage. Didn't even mess with the alignment. The CX-5 is a resilient car
My opinion is as long as you change your oil regularly, you won't have any problems with crud or build up.
I'm not 100% sure about the second part of your question CX-5um, but I believe the initial start up idle is higher to warm up the catalytic converter. It has the side benefit of warming...
It is snake oil. I love my dealer's service department but every oil change they try to sell me this crap for like $200. Tell them NO time and time again.
Think about this for a second - if gas isn't "washing" over the valves in a direct injection why would there be crud build up on the valve...
I can commiserate with you. I got whacked with a rock yesterday. My poor baby, less than 2k miles, has a huge "bug splatter" on the passenger side windshield. Ever worse, I can't repair it since it wasn't a crack but a scuff that made the outside glass rough.
However, for those who can repair...
First, congratulations on the twins!
While owning a CX 5 is a joy, I know the pain of trying to squeeze a baby seat in the back. I would recommend looking into Britax car seats. However, to be safe if you have a baby store near you (Like buy buy baby) they will let you try the seats out before...
I have this same issue with my 2017 GT as well. The good news is that the dealer is covering under warranty. The bad news is that I don't know if is the passenger seat as well since I haven't had anyone really ride with me consistently yet.
Just a quick update:
One day after the original post it appears it has reverted back to the normal preset of locking the doors after driving away. In the end, I did not have to do a factory reset nor change the auto lock settings. I guess the old "turn it off and then back on again" works...
My hope was that maybe someone had something similar (or me just being an idiot and accidentally hitting a setting or something) before I had to go to the dealer. But if that is my only option... c'est la vie.
Thank you for the response. I thought the same when I checked it is set for 60 seconds as the auto re-lock. In my initial post, this was about 10 seconds AFTER opening the door.
No, it is just me driving. There is no other passenger. And yes, this afternoon I plan on doing the factory reset for lock settings. Otherwise, got to take a day off to go the dealer.
Hello all,
I was hoping to enlist your help in figuring what is going on with my auto lock feature. If it helps a little background: the CX-5 in question in a 2017 GT bought this December. Doesn't have a thousand miles on it yet and this problem just started happening over the last 3-4 days...
I fear I may not have made a great deal - but if it helps anyone I recently bought a 2017 CX-5 GT AWD (Eternal Blue) with the premium package on 12/16/17. My breakdown is as follows:
For the car itself w/o package: $30,453 (Including destination charge)
+$1629 for the premium package
+ $25...
