Yes, we are now at 500 miles in ours and the smell is still there. Very common on new cars.
One unrelated question... I hear a fan continuing to run after the car is turned off. If it was a turbo I would expect it. Is this normal?
I haven't driven the Malibu, but I have to say I like the exterior looks. The interior is okay, and I like the two-tone materials, but I'm just not a fan of Chevy's aqua lighting in the gauges. Looks cheap to me when so many premium automakers have gone to white.
I vacuumed my dash with a brush when I first got the car because a cloth wouldn't take the dust off. Now it does seem as if a simple wipe will take it off. I also think there was something on it when delivered that slowly went away. Maybe plastic on top of the dash that got taken off during...
I don't commute, but in the times I have been driving I've seen two new CX-5s... a SRC one driven by a guy probably in his 30's and a white one driven by a woman of a similar age. I notice them mostly because the front end with the squinty headlights and big Kodo grill stands out (in a good way).
I'm anal about keeping my cars clean. I keep a small microfiber wipe in the car and use it on the infotainment screen AND the piano black trim. No scratches and everything is dust-free.
No, because they ordered it from another dealership 300 miles away that didn't install it. I'm guessing in Austin. They never asked me if I wanted to put on a front license plate, and that is good because I didn't want it. My A4 doesn't have one either.
As I understand it, the only way...
I saw something new today. I was driving along and the car way ahead of me was making a left-hand turn. I knew he was going to clear it, so I didn't really slow down. A big sign that said BRAKE came up in the HUD. That was a no-brainer, but I do love all the safety features.
